Has anyone used bump support bands? What did you think?

I work in a physical job and I’m on my feet for all of my shift. I’m 27 weeks pregnant and the bottom of my bump and pelvic area ache and hurt so much while I’m at work so was thinking a bump support band may help? Has anyone used one before and they’ve helped aches and pains?
I always felt funny about them as for some reason I thought lifting your bump up for periods of time would not be good for bump or baby? But know I’m probably being silly thinking that!

Honestly, I bought one in my first pregnancy. Used it twice but found it so uncomfortable.
This pregnancy it's still sitting in a drawer and I haven't bothered even trying it (now 32 weeks).

It was a waste of money for me.

Yeah to be honest I did wonder how much difference they would actually make.
might just have to stick to putting my feet up when I can and soaks in the bath to help instead!

That's been my strategy and it's worked pretty well so far!

I found the exact opposite, a bump band worked brilliantly for me! I got to the point where it became painful to walk at more than a snail’s pace - with the band, I wasn’t being overtaken by old ladies with zimmer frames anymore Grin

The band doesn’t actually lift the bump, it just provides extra support to help you carry the weight easier. It’s probably worth a try if you’re struggling!

I got one in my last pregnancy and used it a handful of times, tried again during this one - including yesterday - and I can't seem to get away with it, it's just uncomfortable. I wish it worked I'm aching 😂

I was recommended one in my first pregnancy as I ended up on crutches due to PGP. I found it extremely helpful. I then used it from early on in my next and never needed to have crutches. It simply takes a small amount of the weight, it supports rather than 'holds' the bump.

First pregnancy here and my stomach muscles felt shot from very early, did try the band but it was a bastard to put on (all different bits that connected) and I found it made me hot and itchy and it irritated me. The odd day it helped but it's stashed in a cupboard now as I couldn't get on with it (stomach muscles remain shot!)
