Back to back maternity leave?

Hi

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. I have a 7 month old and currently on maternity leave. Would I be able to do two consecutive maternity leaves at my current job without going back in between? I’m due back in May. I’ll be around 20 weeks then.

please no judgemental comments. Feeling a bit fragile atm 🙂

thank you xx

You won't be far along enough to do back to back mat leaves as other PP have said but I would recommend going back if possible then going on leave. The entire maternity period counts as continuous employment and you will get statutory mat pay. Also have a job to back to after the second mat leave which you can then decline if you don't want to go

Good luck with it
