34 weeks. I am getting hideous leg cramps. Literally entire leg from thigh to foot all around at the same time. It's excruciating. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips re alleviating the pain and making them go?

I had this terribly from about 30 weeks, especially at night. I was told by my midwife that it is very common! I found that doing calf stretches before bed helped, and the biggest difference was making sure I drank lots of water throughout the day, but they never fully went away until after I’d had the baby.

I recommend magnesium spray, it's worked wonders on stopping my night calf cramps.

Sympathy OP, 33 weeks today and I’m jumping out of bed 2 or 3 times a night with leg cramps.

I had terrible carpal tunnel from 19 weeks last time and I had dead arms all night long which was actually unbearable so this is actually preferable. 😂😂

I had these and read that if you pull your foot tightly back towards your leg during the cramp it alleviates them and it did seem to.

I'm 30 weeks and have started getting these, especially at night.
I do find the more hydrated I am the better and also raising my legs helps a little.
I've also started getting the odd episode of sciatica down one leg which is awful.

37 weeks and have had this since the second trimester! I found magnesium cream makes it more bearable. Drinking lots of water and walking a lot during the day if I can also makes them less severe. I also do leg stretches and flex my feet back and forward right before bed.

Omg I had this towards the ends of my pregnancies. Hellish but normal
