Does anyone else feel their second pregnancy has flown by?

I’m 30 weeks and have a 3 year old. With my first, it seemed to drag and I was constantly checking my pregnancy apps, Google and just super cautious with everything I did. I had a pregnancy journal where I wrote all my symptoms everyday and I really enjoyed it. I had sickness all throughout and felt exhausted towards the end. This time around I’ve barely done any of this and I can’t believe I’m in the third trimester already. I have tons of energy, I barely even feel pregnant half the time, unless I really walk far. I feel my day is so consumed with work, toddler, housework and cooking that I barely have time! It’s really flown by and I honestly don’t know where the last 7 months have gone! I feel a bit sad because I haven’t had time to ‘enjoy’ it. Has anyone else experienced this?

That's amazing. I can imagine you might feel its been less of a 'pregnancy experience' but anyone with a 3 year old would surely choose that over juggling life and feeling rotten.
I have a 2.5yo but not really sharing your experience. I think bc I'm first trimester and I've just hit the roughest patch 9/10/ 11 weeks (for me anyway) in gloomy January and it's all dragging. Maybe if symptoms die down I'll start flying like you have 😊

Yes. Busy days. 3rd pregnancy was different. Age gap on 13 yesrs to dc2.

I'm also 30 weeks and have a daughter who's 4.5, I feel very much the same!

With DD1, it was 2020 covid and I was sent home at 4 months pregnant on full pay. There wasn't much else to think about other than the baby so I was very prepared, did online classes, made a baby journal to give her when she's older etc.....

This time round I'm in chaos with an entire relocation between countries last month, an imminent house purchase, DD1 starting at a UK school and getting DH here in time for the birth. Yesterday I made my first baby purchase (the pram!) as saw a deal too good to miss but that's the only prep I've done.
I know DD2 is safe and cooking nicely but poor baby has been almost forgotten about with all the chaos around us at the moment. The days are flying and I really need them to show down as I'm not ready at all!

Same! 30 weeks here too (just had to look that up…). Children are 3 and 1. Vomited profusely until 19/20 weeks but didn’t really have time to do much other than carry on. Time has really flown since then. I’ve barely told anyone I’m pregnant actually, and now it’s a bit of an awkward conversation when I tell them I’m due in March! 😂 I don’t feel too sad though - I know I’m very fortunate to be pregnant but I can’t say I enjoy it at all, so happy for it to speed by. Hoping time will slow down when the baby is here though.

That's reassuring - I'm 27 weeks with first baby and it is dragging! I'm not too bad with symptoms (although have a bad fluey thing at the moment), but still was wondering how you manage being pregnant and looking after a toddler, so it's good to hear that you're all coping ok! We had 3 miscarriages before this baby, so I think I'm a bit more anxious than I might be, and just can't wait to hold baby in my arms and know that it'll all be ok. But April seems like forever away!

Same!! I am 33+1 weeks with my 2nd and this pregnancy has flown by and has actually been easier. I think a combination of being distracted with my almost 4 year old, work being super busy and my 1st pregnancy being during lockdown has made a huge difference! Plus I don't have the same level of anxiety as I did last time

me too, I’m 31 weeks and the last 10 especially have flown by. Unlike you however I do feel VERY pregnant and tired running around after my 2 year old - I wish I had more energy!

I feel you, I’m 35+1 with a 2yo. We’re in the annual planning phase at work atm and I keep forgetting I’m going to be gone in a few weeks. It seems surreal that we’ll have a newborn next month.
