Hi. I came off conception at the end of last year, I wear my Apple Watch to sleep and see it has the function to predict ovulation. I know it’s not as accurate as BBT.

but looking at my chart does it looks like I possibly ovulating. It does co assigned with egg white discharge. I haven’t done OKPs to confirm ovulation peak was just wondering how reliable people have found Apple Watch wrist temperature being accurate.

It’s accurate enough that natural cycles will use it as an input device rather than the a thermometer. But NC will probably have tweaked their algorithm to account for differences between the two types of device.

I only used the health app and the wrist temp in there, so it has a baseline. It did quite well in terms of the day after my period started it dipped below the baseline and stayed just below until 2 days after ovulation (I tracked with ovulation tests and bbt) when it would rise to just above the baseline. Then it would stay above and the odd day go to baseline and back just above again. So I guess it was a day slower to rise vs bbt temp in terms of signalling ovulation.

I've used my Apple Watch and Fertility Friend with success.

Just a point though, they can't predict ovulation, they can only confirm that it may have happened and at which point after it's happened. The FF app will take three days of raised temps above a coverline as potential ovulation.

Thanks all. So probably a couple days behind and thank you for explaining which data it takes to suggest may have ovulated.
