34 weeks and struggling

Anyone else?

I'm 34 weeks now, go on mat leave on Friday and I'm really physically struggling. I feel huge and breathless and pretty weak. I have a young child in reception I need to look after, DH works all hours so I'm doing all bedtimes and mornings etc. DC has broken up from school so mat leave doesn't feel like a break as she won't go back to school until 8th Jan.

Have in-laws over for Christmas who are staying with us Confused they're making noises about helping but they won't.

Just physically tired and heavy and worried about how much worse it's going to get. How's everyone else feeling at this stage

I'm only 10+1 but just wanted to offer a virtual hug and say it's outrageous if your in-laws won't follow through with the help their offering! You should be the one doing the least running around on that day. Is there any reason why you're doubting they'll actually be of much help/can it be brought up with DH or them beforehand?

"They're" not "their" Xmas Shock

I'm 34 weeks too! Definitely running on empty, also have a 4 year old but hasn't broken up until Friday but looking forward to the Christmas break. I don't go on maternity leave until mid Jan but happy to have a break in the routine for a couple of weeks. Generally not doing too bad apart from wanting to nap constantly, so much harder with an active 4 year old!
