Pregnant 8 months PP!!🫣

Just found out I am pregnant with an almost 8 month old!! We took precautions as I had such a rough first pregnancy, and horrible labour and 4th trimester. This has come as such a huge surprise and I feel like I’m in shock still. My partner is over the moon, can’t wait to complete our family as we have always said we would only have 2. He is so excited, which is really the opposite of what I thought his reaction would be. There will be a 14 month age gap between my first and second. Does anyone have any experience with this?? A lot of posts I’ve seen say how much easier it is second time around but I just don’t know what to trust. We are obviously really happy, but just so shocked at how quickly it has happened. Any advice is really appreciated x

I had a 16 month gap between my first two dc and found the gap easier than when the third came along three years later. Mainly because it was easier to balance the needs of those closest in age than those with a bigger age gap ie pre-school 5 mornings a week with one or other of eldest two with a newborn.
My eldest was sleeping through the night before dc2 arrived so that obviously made things easier.
By the time dc4 arrived they could do it all in my sleep 😂

Oh wow FairPlay to you!! That makes sense to be fair and it’s what a lot of people have said online so far, the will have similar needs still and so can understand how that would be easier than a bigger age gap. Thank you so much!! I’m so looking forward to it, and always wanted them close together but just so shocked at just how close they will be🤣

That must be a shock - but on a positive note you haven't been unwell during this pregnancy like you were first time. I think it's easier in the long run to have them close together. Good luck.

Thank you! I’ve no idea how far along I am as have been on the pill since having my daughter in may🤣 So hopefully I’m further along than I think and maybe I just skipped the HG this time🤞🏼 Thank you so much x
