When do/did you tell your other DC?

Dc are 7&5. DH wants to tell them in between Christmas and New Year (12 week scan is 27th). In an ideal world, I'd wait until the 20 week scan, but we're going to see family at new year and are telling them, so we'd need to tell the DC before. When are you/did you tell the DC?

@purplespink i have a 4 year old and I won’t be telling him until the 20 week scan at least. I’ve had my 12 week scan already and told family but I am telling my family not to say anything to my dc.

We told our 4 year old DD after the NIPT results and 12 week scan.

She's been absolutely brilliant and gives kisses and cuddles to 'baby sister' every day, talks about/to her all the time and makes plans about what they are going to do together.

I didn't want lots of other family knowing before she did and someone accidentally letting it slip and I also had really bad sickness so wanted to give an explanation for that to stop her worrying so much.

I've got a 9 and 6 year old, I'm very early on but had a MC earlier this year so I'm really nervous about telling them. We're going to wait as long as possible - until it feels like we can't hide it in case anything does go wrong but I already feel like that won't be very much past 15 weeks if I'm starting to show.

I'm also not planning to tell too many others until they know to avoid them finding out by accident

I've got an almost 4 year old who we told at 17 weeks after an early anomaly scan. Having lost our first baby at 19 weeks due to defect we wanted to make sure everything was fine.
