Hello
I have fallen pregnant unintentionally - the condom come off and the morning after pill hasn’t worked. I’m feeling silly..

I’m just wondering for those who have been in my position how it happened for you?

Thank you x

Contraception failure on my 1st, condom & pill was used but I was on medication which counteracted my pill hence the condom but it split (he's 7 now) & my second was a morning after pill failure (we did use a condom but it split so I got the MAP) (he's 4)

I was 18 in 1968, no way would you go to the family Dr for contraceptives, condoms were under the counter,in barbers, and the now ex H, assured me I would be fine.

Me and my ex, we did just have unprotected sex. We thought it would be ok as long as he "pulled out" just before this once. Quite naive really!

He "forgot" and 6 weeks later i found out i was pregnant with my DS who is now nearly 20 😊

We told our families the condom broke because we felt so stupid! We werejudged and made to feel stupid anyway due to our age (we were 18 and 19) so we may as well have told them the truth!

Used the basal temperature method to track ovulation. Couldn't take the pill and hated condoms. Worked perfectly for five years, then I must have ovulated twice in a month -- she is 25 now and the best thing that ever happened to me.

My ex DP and I had fallen into a bad habit of "friends with benefits", got carried away one night but he pulled out. I took the morning after pill (ellaone) anyway plus I wasn't due to ovulate for a week or so.

Having been pregnant before I "just knew" I was pregnant about 4 days before my period was due. Test confirmed it.

Lots of back and forth over what to do but ultimately continued with the pregnancy. Was referred for a early scan to make sure pregnancy was in right place at around 6 weeks as the morning after pill delays ovulation and can increase chances of a ectopic pregnancy because of that. All was well.

It was all a big shock to the system. I have taken the Ellaone morning after pill twice before and never had any trouble with it but I must have been more fertile than I expected and missed the chance to delay ovulation. I have to admit it took weeks for things to "sink in". I hope you have plenty support around you x

Ah thank you, this is really reassuring to hear. Was you just honest with the doctors/midwife? I have support around me 🙂

Condom broke, realised after, then checked my ovulation calculator and was in the window, no morning after pill as decided to just see what happened, positive test 2 weeks later.

Don't think the midwife cared if it was planned or not, just that I was ok

Yes, from the start. I wasn't even sure what I was doing at that point and they were supportive.

1968,we were naive. We got married that's what you did then,if you were pregnant.
