BFP going then coming back?? So confused help

Hi Ladies,

Can anybody help me as I'm losing my mind wondering what is going on- I am well aware this is likely just a chemical pregnancy but obviously clinging on to little bit of hope..

I had a chemical pregnancy in September, bleeding started at 5 weeks and my test quickly faded to stark negative after 4 days of bleeding.

I am not tracking ovulation and wasn't sure if I would post chemical pregnancy but dtd every other day cd14-19 , i have a variable cycle from 29-33 days at top end.

I couldn't resist testing at cd24-25 and had definite positives that came up as I was dipping my sample ( first picture) . Then cd26/27/28 complete negative - assumed must have had another much earlier ending chemical pregnancy. I didn't do any more tests since Sunday.

This morning it's cd32 and expenting af to arrive any minute- but i just woke up feeling super nauseous and that sea sick feeling. I've just done another test and its now showing as a faint positive again ( second picture) - may be difficult to see in picture but came up immediately as I was dipping the test again and definitely has colour.

I have just used the amazon german high sensitivity cheapies this month as spent so much money on tests last cycle for it to end in chemical. They have previously seemed reliable for me in prev pregnancy but wondering if i've got a dodgy batch...

TIA for anyone that can help x

That does seem confusing, I would personally continue to test to see if the line gets stronger or does sadly fade to negative.

I had a pregnancy of unknown location and it did take a while for my tests to turn to negative. Occasionally it can be an ectopic pregnancy that doesn't resolve itself, which is why I'd recommend checking the pregnancy is in the right place if things do progress, or ensuring tests are completely negative if it does turn out to sadly be an early loss again.

Thanks for reply thats useful to hear about your prev experience- although will be sad I will actually be reassured in a way just to get af and have a completely negative test -would expect to start today but still nothing going to hold out till until tomorrow to test again but if not progressing much maybe call GP on Monday to get some bloods done 🤷🏻‍♀️

Your situation may well be completely different to mine Flowers I would just always recommend ensuring tests do turn negative if it is an early loss just to be sure it's not ectopic.

I hope all works out well for you.

Sadly completely negative today and af starting- but trying to think positively and hope just bad luck to have 2x back to back chemicals 😭 I was so naive thinking would be smooth after first was conceived no issues.
really hope everything worked out in end with you after your ectopic as well x

I'm really sorry to hear that Flowers

I conceived on the next cycle following my miscarriage and am now 35 weeks if that gives you some hope at all. I started taking vitamin e tablets and omega 3 after reading some advice online, might have been a pure coincidence but could be worth a try.

Really hope this will be your last loss now and it all goes smoothly on your next try. However if anything similar did unfortunately happen again, I believe they can refer you for tests after 3 miscarriages so worth keeping that in mind.
