Help! Vitamin A taken at 13 weeks pregnant

I have been having a matcha latte 3 mornings in a row to replace my morning coffee as it only has a small amount of caffeine 25mg per serving but stupidly I have just realised that it contains what I believe to be high amounts of vitamin A cartone and vitamin A retinol per serving. I feel really worried should I be concerned? Any advice welcome thanks x

The beta carotene version isn't dangerous(that's the plant based version of vitamin A)

It's the retinol version that is supposed to be avoided but not sure the amount in that tea would be an issue. Maybe try something else that has no retinol vitamin A in it.

I won't be having it again now I have realised but I'm worried about the damage it's already done from having some 3 days in a row

I very much doubt any damage has been done from the small amounts in the tea. You'd need a high amount over a sustained period of time to have caused any issues

You'll be fine, OP.
Are you always this anxious about trivia?

Hi OP

I would have worried about this too but I don’t think three doses will make a difference. They used to encourage women to eat liver for the vitamin A in pregnancy. Hope you’re okay xx

Thanks for the reassurance

Baby is fully developed at 13 weeks so vitamin A won't cause a birth defect. The dose in tea is also probably tiny.

Enjoy your pregnancy.
