Early Polyhydraminos Help??

first time post here…
I’ve been diagnosed with early severe polyhydraminos (excess amniotic fluid) at 24 weeks. I’m huge already and look like I’m full term… The deepest vertical pocket was 16.3cm! And my AFI is 54?!

I can’t find anyone with a similar case to mine… I’ve been referred to fetal medicine but don’t have that appointment for another 3 weeks, and have my GTT on Monday as they suspect gestational diabetes.

everything I can see online suggests Poly this bad and this early is highly likely to be down to a fetal abnormality.. but nothing was seen in any of my previous scans.. even my fluid at 20w I was told was normal…

looking for mums who’ve had cases as early and severe as mine… what was the outcome??

Oh sweetheart….. I’m certainly pleased that the Consultant couldn’t see anything scary yesterday…..as rubbish as it is, it takes a bit of time to hopefully rule things out……. One day at a time ….. am thinking of you and wishing you the very very best for you and your little boy……xx

Thank you @Kevinbaconsrealwife 🩷

so update from today is that I had my GTT - waiting for the lab results but the results on the machine they had there - where they test a small sample showed 5.4 fasted and 8 after two hours. So the latter is on the high side so hoping this is it! I was also previously taking Metformin for PCOS and did recently come off it which coincides with the poly..

Did any of you also experience less urination? I’m going to the toilet waaaayyy less - maybe only 3-4 times a day and that’s mostly because of the pressure on my bladder. Assuming the fluid goes down with a positive GDD result could fix that?

Confirmed gestational diabetes! Hoping management will help fluid levels 🤞🏻
