Severe sickness and going back to work

So I've been signed off work for 4 weeks due to bad sickness but I'm going to try and go back tomorrow as I'm not vomiting as much and I will be getting SSP if I don't return which I can't afford as I have bills to pay and also a mortgage. Can anyone give me some snack ideas to take with me? I work on reception with patients so I need to make sure I'm snacking throughout the day to avoid being sick (if possible) thanks Smile

Salt and vinegar crisps helped save me

Cherry tomatoes and celery sticks helped me and nibbling on cashews. Like taking 10 minutes to eat each one.
I found smoothies easier to sip than water. I get an aversion to the taste of water and the thicker texture helps.
Could you do reduced hours?

The positive here is that you are (hopefully) sitting most of the time. It would be worse if you were standing. I found that forcing myself to have something to eat made me feel so much better. You absolutely won't want it but a slice of toast before getting to work does the world of good. The reason you feel so sick is because your stomach is empty. I found that I eventually got into a routine at work. I would start feeling sick and go to the bathroom to get sick and I would then go and have a nibble. It got to the point where I knew when I needed to run. It's absolutely awful though , make sure you get plenty of rest in the evenings. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Nuts, dried fruit, plain biscuits (rich tea were best), ready salted crisps. Weak squash to drink - water made me feel really sick for some reason
