Just found out I'm pregnant which I am over the moon about!!! What vitamins should I be taking ?

Posted too soon ! I'm still breast feeding my one year old too so wondered if there was a certain one I can take ? Pregncare makes me feel unwell

You don't really need to take anything other than folic acid if you have a reasonable diet. Vitamin D is always sensible for everyone really. Congratulations!

Thank you so much! Can it be any vitamin d ? Like amount ? I know my vitamin d is lower than usual which I am worried about x

I think recommended amount is around 600 IU per day but higher won't do any harm. I personally take 2000 as there are quite a few studies which suggest 600 is too low.

I also find a multi vit makes me feel so much worse so have always gone without

Thanks all I got folic acid with vitamin D today which has the same amount in as the breastfeeding vitamins xx
