36 weeks, second pregnancy and struggling

Hello all, this is my second pregnancy and it's been hugely different to my first. After having my DD, who was a teeny tiny baby, I've been measuring huge second time round. This baby is on the 97th centile 😳 had checks for GD and all normal - I've been on aspirin all pregnancy due to DDs slow growth and it's clearly worked!! I am so so uncomfortable - absolutely huge, my bump feels so hard and sore, pelvis is sore, my back is sore, heartburn is horrendous and I just can't sleep for more than a few hours a night due to the insomnia 😫. If I sit down I seize up but I can't be on my feet too long either as I get really sore from the pressure in my bump. I don't remember feeling this bad with my first - although not sure if I'm looking back with rose tinted glasses!! I'm just so done with being pregnant - but absolutely terrified about giving birth again (first was very fast but very traumatic).

I'm not sure what I'm after from this post - a sounding board! Anyone else at a similar point and feeling this way?? You have my sympathies and solidarity!!

35 weeks with my 2nd, with polyhydramnois and I absolutely feel your pain!!! I didn't get insomnia last time and I'm really struggling with it now.

We are nearly there!

I’m really sorry you’re feeling like this :( where’s this oregnancy glow right?! Also I’m right there with you lovely, 31 weeks with my second and MISERABLE. How are you finding it looking after your DD?

The lack of sleep is a killer. I’ve said to my husband i cant wait for better sleep when baby arrives and he thinks im crazy! But the lack of sleep in pregnancy is far worse than newborn sleep in my opinion

You’re nearly there and you absolutely have got this!!

@UnravellingTheWorld sending solidarity hugs!! I'm having my water levels monitored too at the moment as they went up at my last growth scan. Oh the joys of pregnancy!! I don't remember having insomnia last time either - I feel like I've had months of no sleep this time round!!

@Stephanieava oh lovely I'm so sorry you're struggling too! I've found it very hard being any sort of fun with my DD 😞 I've found that so hard - she's three and at such a gorgeous age with her personality. She's been an angel though and looks after me, strokes my hair when I lie on the sofa and is always asking how baby is in mummy's tummy (she also likes to tell us about the baby in her tummy too!!)

Sending you both best wishes and that these next few weeks pass by quickly for us all!!
