I’m nearly 12 weeks and feel like I’m eating really unhealthy during pregnancy. I do eat fruit and veg everyday but sometimes eat pizza, chocolate and crisps. I’ve tried to lower my sugar intake. I’ve actually lost weight because I had completely gone off food and was eating only small amounts of stuff. I’m 10 stone and always take my pre natals and drink plenty of water. Anyone any advice? I’m just afraid of harming the baby. Been exercising but nothing strenuous

Doesn’t literally everyone sometimes eat pizza, chocolate and crisps? I’m struggling to see what you’re anxious about x

Every single day of my pregnancy I ate a bag of chips from the chippy. Sometimes more than once a day🤭 my little one is a healthy happy 2 year old now. If you're eating good stuff too and drinking water and taking your vitamins then I really don't think you need to be quite this anxious. Your body obviously needs it so just accept and enjoy 😁

I’m 22 weeks and can’t go without my crisps chocolate & a take away twice a week 😂 oh plus ice cold cans of fizzy drink! I wouldn’t get through the day without them

Underweight is not good either. Try and eat healthily but it's not the end of the world if you don't always.

I lived off toast and rice cakes in the first trimester due to sickness, baby was fine. Just eat what you can manage and make sure to take your vitamins.

Hellskitchen24 · 11/10/2024 18:47

I’m 10 weeks and have horrendous sickness. All I’ve eaten for the last month is toast, pasta, sweets and crisps as it’s all I can tolerate. I’ve not eaten a single fresh thing since my symptoms have started because I physically can’t. So fed up with it. My midwife didn’t seem concerned as long as you are drinking.

My diet was horrendous during my first pregnancy as 'morning' sickness meant the only food I could tolerate was greasy, unhealthy stuff. Vegetables made me throw up immediately!
She's now a healthy one year old who eats plenty of fruit and veg so please don't worry.

You just do what you can to survive in pregnancy..... especially in the first trimester!
I'm 16 weeks now and am craving much healthier options now

excanuk · 12/10/2024 08:30

My diet was appalling there was almost nothing I could keep down. One type of cheap Lidl ready meal and ham and coleslaw baps, no fruit no veg. DD now in her 20s is a super fit healthy vegetarian who loves fruit and vegetables. She hikes, runs and bikes and has endless amounts of energy.

I ate a kitkat chunky everyday with DS1. Some people can't keep anything but crackers down. You're fine.
