Pregnant at 40

I have recently found out I am pregnant with my 3rd baby at age 40 (older two are 4 and 2). Although a surprise, I am mostly feeling happy but I can't help worry partly because of my age and whether I am too old (although I'm quite young at heart), and also whether others will think i'm silly and I'm too old. Has anyone got any positive experiences/words? (Please can I ask for kind positive messages only as I am feeling quite anxious). Thank you.

Why does it matter if anyone thinks your silly? I don't think they will, for what it's worth. If another baby will add to your family as a whole, then who cares what anyone else thinks. Also your age gaps are small, people won't assume the new baby is a surprise.

I'm currently 41 and 4 months pregnant with our second baby (i'll be 42 on my due date). DD1 is 4.

It's not particularly unusual in my area/social circle and I've had nothing be positive comments

I'm 43 with a 2 year old, she was born just after I turned 41, 7 year age gap between her and her older sister, I say that it feels harder than it did when I was 34, but I think I just breed bad sleepers and I probably did feel the same when I was younger and have blocked it out lol

I wouldn't change it for the world :) the pregnancy itself was a lot easier than my first

I'll be 40 when my second is due (son is 4) and I've never thought people might think I was too old. I know sooo many people having babies into their 40s now it's not usual at all xxx

Had my 3rd aged 40 and it was absolutely fine. The others were 6 and 4.

All in their 20s now...

It wouldn't be for me, but 40 isn't too much of an OTT age to have a baby. I probably would stop there though tbh.
