Stress in pregnancy

Hey, so wondering if I could have some sort of reassurance. I am 21+6 today. Since I found out I was pregnant, I have been dealing with bad anxiety due to a 16 week loss last year. On top of this, I find I have a short fuse with everything. Anxiety has some what disappeared this past month but I find my short fuse and stressing about everything is still there. Some times to the point where my stomach feels like it’s in knots. I get more angry at work, I can’t deal with anyone doing anything wrong (regardless how small!) as I just get super angry about it and my stomach somewhat hurts from the anger. I have read some pretty grimace things on the internet about stress during pregnancy and now I’m totally worried that I have harmed my little boy :( please note I am receiving help for my anxiety etc, but this post is more what affects this has done to baba

Hey. I'm 26 weeks.
I have screamed. I have shouted. I have cried. Like reallllllyyyy cried. I've had anxiety. In a very very low place and baby is totally fine.
Baby is very protected in there

You haven't harmed your baby xxxxx

Babies are still born in war zones. You and your baby will be totally fine! ❤️

So there is some evidence that stress in pregnancy is bad but and it's a massive but it really is exceptional levels of stress and only in the third trimester. Look at the 9/11 study. They looked at women pregnant in new York at the time of the terrorist attack on the twin towers. There was raised stress levels but only in women in the third trimester. When evolutionary the body wants a baby to come out ready to be vigilant.
The levels of stress required really are that exceptionally high my life is in imminent danger.

I would speak to someone about how you are feeling and getting some support in place.

As others said, people have babies in war zones and other awful situations. It’s good you’re getting support so hopefully you are able to cope well once baby is here. Please stop googling - there is no way that your anxiety can affect the baby during pregnancy
