I'm 32+2 and my consultant has admitted me for rest and steroids. There's a lot of fluid build up and my cervix has already started to shorten. High chance of going into labour in the next two weeks. I'm not high risk, but baby has severe complications so there absolutely must be certain doctors present when he's born. At the moment I expect to be in hospital until my ELCS which was originally due to happen at 39 weeks (looking like I may not last that long!)

Anyone been through similar? The midwife suggested it may only be for a few days and then they could reevaluate and think about letting me home. I have a toddler that will struggle to be away from me for 7 weeks (or longer, as baby needs to go into NICU after birth)!!

Feeling pretty shit right now (and my room is too hot so obviously I can't sleep)

Big hugs OP. I was admitted when they did a swab test that indicated I would more than likely go into labour in the next few days. I had a shortened cervix anyway after having treatment for dodgy cells pre-pregnancy, so it was a worry.
After a few days, I was sent home and told not to do too much. Baby turned out to be on her own schedule, and turned up 8 days late!
Hope you have a similar story to tell after all this.

@Tapestree Thank you, fingers crossed they do send me home! The nurses are all lovely and trying to give me home, but my consultant is all "no, you need to stay in until the end". They have and MDM tonorrow where they'll discuss my case (after my second steroid), so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much 😩

How are you doing OP? I did get off to sleep to be rudely reawakened by the bin men and husband’s alarm

@NeedANewOne25 that's good that you got some sleep! Shame it was limited though 😅 Hope tonight's a better night for us.

I'm just enjoying a very heavily seasoned bowl of soup before lunch. Got some visitors coming in the afternoon, and I'm looking forward to seeing my son (and husband to, of course). I've been stabbed with needles so many times that I'm starting to resemble a block of cheese 🧀
