The wait for the 20 week scan

Currently 17 weeks with my second, and I am finding the wait for the 20 week scan so agonising. It's such a weird limbo feeling where symptoms are getting slightly less and there's no movement yet, I already had a bit of a tummy so no obvious bump, is everything okay... also found out I have an anterior placenta so probably won't feel kicks for a while apparently.

Anyone else feel this way waiting for their scan? Just 3.5 weeks to go, eek.

I had a loss at 7 weeks in April and I'm 14 weeks now, we only have our 12 week scan tomorrow so I've been terrible for going for private scans just for reassurance! We had 4 private scans between 8-12 weeks. I've managed to wait until the NHS one tomorrow but I know I'll be wanting to go back for 16 week gender scan! It's honestly torture. I guess it's just finding what works for you, I've heard some people say scans don't help their anxiety and some do! For us they do help. Sending you a huge hug OP, you're not alone!! X

It is so hard waiting for that 12 week scan- I've had losses before and found it difficult to wait this time. We had NIPT testing at 15 weeks and everything looked great, so just trying to wait it out, but I totally understand the desire to get more scans done. Hope you get a good 12 week result.
