Not as excited 2nd time around?

My husband is trying to convince me it’s probably normal but I don’t feel anywhere near as excited with current pregnancy. Some days I don’t even think about it. Compared to my first where I thought and probably annoyingly talked about it non stop.
Has anyone else felt like this? I should add it was a ‘surprise’ baby and not planned so maybe that’s adding to it. I’m starting to feeling a bit guilty about it though.

Well pregnancy is a bit of a drag isn't it. First time around at least it's all novel. Second time you're just tired and feel hungover while trying to chase an older child. Definitely less fun.

yes I think this is normal as first time is all new, this time you've been there and done it all before. Suppose I kind of felt like this with my second. Add I was also much busier second time around with working plus having the older dc, and running the house etc. Tbh I don't really think I thought much about my pregnancy 2nd time around also because I was just too busy plus other people don't make as much fuss of you when it's your second.

This is totally, 100% normal. With my second, I forgot I was pregnant all the time. I barely thought about it, honestly. When I got pregnant again, I had a 15 month old, my husband and I were one year into running our own business, and we were selling our first home to buy another. It was a total fucking blur. I was still instantly in love when they were born, though. Don't even worry about this. We can't be overly giddy about subsequent pregnancies because we'd never get anything done.
