maybe overthinking but I have read mixed reviews online about back pain. I am 10w5d and woke up with a really sore lower back ache. I have had two previous miscarriages which were never over 6 weeks. This pregnancy We saw the heart beat at 6w2d and again at 9w3d. but with my symptoms getting slowly better too I am just a nervous reck! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I'm so sorry for your losses. I had a MMC in April so I can completely relate to the anxiety you're feeling in this new pregnancy. It's totally understandable. I'm 14+4 today and I've also been having some lower back ache. Not excruciating but enough to make me worry (not that it takes much!). I've heard it's normal and just a sign of baby growing and everything stretching out. If you're concerned or the pain becomes worse (or obviously if any spotting etc) don't hesitate to call your EPU. That's what they're there for. Seeing a heartbeat after 9 weeks dramatically reduces the chance of another MC so that's great news for you but I completely get that the worry will probably stay throughout the pregnancy given what you've been through. Wishing you the best for the rest of your pregnancy and beyond xx

@CosmicLove Thank you for this reply, I really needed to hear this. Pregnancy after loss is such an emotional rollercoaster isn’t it! Great to hear a fellow rainbow baby mummas pregnancy going well so congratulations to you too!

I was ready to pay for a private scan, but I only had one last week so I need to get on top of my emotions, Can’t really warrant paying £90 a week because of worrying!

I had some lower back pain thru first trimester and concluded it was probably due to looser ligaments and everything stretching. 36 weeks now and all looking good

Aw thank you! 🌈 it really is such a worrying time. You don't feel you can fully enjoy or get excited. Your dating scan must be coming up soon? I know what you mean about paying for a private scan - it's a lot of money. But you should definitely do whatever you need to, to get through these early weeks. If that means having a scan when you're feeling very anxious then so be it ♥️
