Paler test lines and really pale control lines

Hi all,

I’m currently 20dpo and have had several positive tests now, all getting darker. I finally had a few days off, telling myself I really need to stop testing every few days at this point and just wait for my scan.

Anyway, I obviously caved tonight (at approx 9:30PM if this is important?) and just got these results using a Boots cheap stick pack.

The test line is paler than the more recent ones (same brand) by a significant amount but also the control line is very pale on every single one. Is this the sign of a miscarriage starting and HCG decreasing?

Would appreciate your honesty as I’d rather know I think to prepare myself mentally.
