Hiya! I’m 36+5, due sep 2024. Yesterday I had antenatal and got weighed for the second time my pregnancy - first was at 12 week scan back in March (and I haven’t kept an eye on it myself since either 😅) and I have gained nearly 20kg since my 12wk scan.
I had a growth scan at 4 weeks ago because mw appointment at 31wk put baby in ~45%ile and rfm measurement at 32wk put baby above 97%ile. As it turns out that rfm measurement was wrong and wasn’t nearly as drastic and baby has remained consistent around 70%ile in the last 4 weeks. Growth scan at 32wk measured baby girl at 4lb11oz.
My question is: is this something to be concerned about? My partner was a big baby, worried about having a 10lb-er as definitely won’t be able to handle that 😂 I’m only 5ft 3 and pre-pregnancy BMI was on the lower side.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had a scan at 32 weeks with my daughter and she was estimated 6lbs she didn't arrive until almost 42 weeks and she was 8lb4

So I don't think you have anything to worry about at all

Also it is illogical that your body would grow a baby too big for you to birth

Speaking to other women, the bigger ones are easier to birth than the smaller ones

No, I’d guess an 8lbs something oz baby at this point if you go to due date.
Also it’s not something to worry about because - put simply- there is bugger all you can do about it. Baby will grow as baby grows and come when she comes.

Hi
I’m 5’3 and weighed 8st 7 when I got pregnant. I put on nearly 4 stone and had a baby that 8lb 1. I’m now 6 month pp and back to pre pregnancy weight. I think sometimes if you are someone who generally watches what they eat and exercises you put on more weight as for me I didn’t eat well or continue with the gym when I was pregnant. However PP I have picked it back up and lost the weight :)
