I don’t know why but for some reason I’m feeling a bit anxious about my upcoming scan, as though they’re going to find something structurally wrong.
I last had a scan four weeks ago, however it was carried out by a HCP who is trained to do third trimester growth scans but not to look at structural issues (i.e. they can measure HC, AC, FL but can’t interpret/advise on organs such as heart or brain).
The baby’s head circumference has consistently been tracking as much larger than the rest of the measurements so I guess I’m a bit worried that there’s something wrong with the brain that will only come to light at the scan.
So I guess my question is, how common is it for something serious to come to light at the 35 week scan, when everything was apparently okay at the 20 week scan?
