12 week scan, looks so crammed in there...

Looking at other people's scan it looks like there is more room in the uterus... Is it normal for it to be so little room around it? The midwife didn't even want to say if it looked normal or not. She just checked it had a heartbeat and measured it and wasn't answering questions.. anxious now, does it look normal you think?

Uterus is a muscle and it stretches as the baby grows. There’s always room , just think how big octomom got. Still room!

But why does it look on other people's pictures like it's like twice as much room in there..? I thought it was supposed to be more fluid and stuff in there...

Fluid levels also vary. If you are all worried then call your midwife. Motherhood the place where worrying never ends. I hope it all goes well for you.

My scan looked like this, baby's head was pretty much touching the top and had no space round the body. No issues at all so I don't think it's an issue.

@MonkeyTales your scan picture looks more zoomed in than you normally see. That's probably why it looks like baby got less room. Congratulations on your little one 😊

this was my now 1 year old daughter at a 16wk scan. She’s nestled up to the placenta. All very normal :) hope it helps reassure!
