Good morning all.
I'm currently 10 weeks and 2 days along. Yesterday morning at about 9am when I went to the toilet there was some pinkish red blood when I wiped. Obviously this scared me quite a bit, but with it being a Sunday I knew I couldn't get hold of the early pregnancy unit and didn't want to overreact as I'm not sure it's an emergency.
I kept an eye on things and it's now been over 24 hours with no more bleeding. I've had a look at my notes and it does say to call maternity unit if there is any bleeding.
So this morning I've tried ringing the early pregnancy unit for some advice but the phone just keeps ringing.
I've googled and all I can find is that spotting is common in early pregnancy and can be fine, but it can also be a sign of miscarriage so I'm not really sure if I should be reassured or not!
What would you all do in this situation, should I just keep an eye on things and ring if there's any more blood? Or should I keep trying EPU anyway just for some advice/reassurance? Or are EPU just likely to say keep an eye on it anyway?
My dating scan isn't for another 2 weeks and I won't be seeing midwife or anything again before then so I feel a bit unsure what to do. I didn't have any bleeding at all in my last pregnancy so I'm quite worried, but I'm trying my best to just keep calm and think practically. I'd appreciate any advice.
