Temp at night - early pregnancy

I’ve just found out I’m expecting. Very excited after miscarriages, really hoping for the best this time. I am 5 weeks. Not yet been to dr.
since Thursday night I get temperature at night starting around 10pm. Thursday (the first time) I was burning up so got up, drank about a litre (obvs over a bit of time) and went back to sleep. Really feeling poorly but it goes by morning.
is this something I should be worried about or completely normal? 2dc and several mcs and never had this before. I could leave a message for my gp.

Been to dr. It’s pregnancy hormone related. He’s ordered some test just in case!

I don't know about having a temperature but when I go to bed and in the evening I am absolutely boiling and sweating! I have a warm house anyway where Lounge thermostat states 24 degrees at the moment but I've literally been sitting at night in undies as that's all I can cope with lol

I'm around 7 weeks and one of my first symptoms was night swears along with extreme thirst, I was sweating far more than I could drink.
Thankfully it's not as bad now as it was

No sweating. Just fever. I measured with a temperature. The lowest it got is 38. That’s not sweating, that’s temperature.

@nosleepforme could you have caught a bug?
I had an awful sickness and diarrhoea bug when I first discovered I was pregnant that lasted over a week.....high temp, fever, really achy etc. I thought it was all part of the early pregnancy symptoms but it wasn't, it was definitely a bug of some sort

The dr ran tests and did blood work. It’s private so blood work is normally back the same day. The dr cannot find any virus.
I don’t understand the difference between temperature and fever, one is an English term, one American but it’s the same thing. I’m not sick, achy and no diarrhoea.
I just get temperature at night. The dr said it can happen with hormone imbalance early pregnancy if hormones increase really quickly. He ordered blood work to check and scheduled me in for an ultrasound.
its strange cos it goes by morning

Ah OK, well sounds like you're under the care of a doctor who'll be able to give much better advice than strangers on a forum.

High temp is just that, a high temperature.
Fever is when you have a high temp but also go from feeling hot to cold, sweating profusely one minute then shivering the next. It's a sign of infection
