Hi,

I'm currently 32+4 weeks and I am on antibiotics for a kidney infection and have noticed the past couple of days I feel like I am getting the start of thrush. I do tend to get thrush after a long course of antibiotics.

However I have read online you can't take the oral tablet (Fluconazole) when pregnant and I can't really use the pessary as it just doesn't seem to agree with me. Has anyone ever used the canesten thrush cream whilst pregnant? Is it okay to use - I have it in the house and wanted to use it due to the discomfort however scared incase it's not safe during pregnancy.

The cream is fine to use 😁 I had to use pessary and cream due to been on amoxicillin and getting thrush also! Dunno if using just the cream will fully get rid of thrush however might be worth ringing your GP or midwife
