Hi lovelies. I’m pregnant with my miracle 18+1 after trying to conceive for 3 years. At 16 weeks I had some spotting after a bowel movement, was pink and lasted a few wipes. Didn’t think much of it and had a gender scan a few days later all was good. Today at 18 weeks I had bright red blood after a bowel movement so I panicked and went to hospital. They did a Doppler and speculum, heart beat was there and cervix was closed but couldn’t find cause of bleeding. Midwife didn’t seem too worried and said these things happen. I mentioned could it be coming from my placenta but she said I would have a lot more bleeding. I have posterior placenta and it isn’t low, I have started feeling movements. The cramps I have are similar to period pain which I’ve had throughout this pregnancy it drives me mad. Has anyone else had similar? Spotting and cramping in the pregnancy. Any stories to reassure me will really help

I had spotting at 6-7 weeks, had a scan and everything was fine. I had more spotting last week at 12 weeks, more of it this time and very red.. I thought it was over tbh. I had some mild period pains with it too, then just some brown discharge since. I've just had my 12 week scan (turned out to be 13+3) and everything was fine. They couldn't find a cause for the bleed either time. I keep being told it's so common so try not worry x

I had bleeding after bowel movements at around 17-18 weeks.

He's 12 years old now 😍

Hope that helps OP!

Spotting from 6-42 weeks with both. Hospitalised with second at 23 weeks after big bleed. Both delivered healthy at full term and plus. Cause never found. Sending love X

I am sorry for asking, but could it be piles?

Thank you for all the replies! Defiantly reassures me, being my first it is so stressful so atm I’m taking it easy. Bleeding and spotting has stopped but the hip pain and period type cramps have wiped me out. I can still fell baby moving around so I’m guessing all is fine!
