12 week scan rebooked as internal

We attended 12 week dating scan and whilst being scanned the lady stated that it was the most difficult scan she had ever carried out.
There appeared to be too much muscle tissue due to a previous c section and unable to measure baby and give expected due date and had to terminate the scan. We were told there was a baby and heartbeat.
We were advised to rebook a scan but this time booked in for a TV (internal) scan for next week.
Just wondering has anyone else been in this situation and all ok or know of any potential risk factors.

Im mainly questioning due to being told it’s not been seen by this particular lady who scanned me and she has sent me in a bit of a panic. I’m not seeking sound medical advice just looking for any past experience, thanks.

It sounds like she could have put it more tactfully and not mentioned how difficult it was! Surely she means scar tissue from the C-section and not muscle! 🤔
Any time I've had a scan, the machine has the TV attachment on it too. Did she say why she didn't just do the TV there and then? Having to book for another appointment seems bonkers.

@JC03745 Yes scar tissue from prev c section (she thinks).
She said she wasn’t qualified and it would be booked through the Xray dept of the hospital so I took the next available appointment next week.
Thanks for the reply
