Hello,
I am 18 DPO today, this morning my line is lighter than yesterday morning, see both pics below (you can see the lighter amongst the two). Has anyone ever known this? I'm super anxious and wondering if this is something abnormal.

Hi 😘 hope you are okay. Try not to think the worst. I had the brown with my mmc. And it is very common on early pregnancy too. ❤️

now it's this 😔

Aw babe, I’m so sorry you are going through this. Have you been for the scan? Or spoke to a doc? Xxx

DC2023 · 14/08/2024 12:19

Had a scan Mondqy. They could only see a gestational sac, had bloods done hcg 13,000, progesterone 87. They said I could be a bit earlier than my period dates and more like 5 weeks and that's why there may not be a yolk yet, they were unsure if they could see the start of one but couldn't commit to that because it wasn't there. Since then I've had the fresh bleeding and I feel I know the outcome now. I'm just waiting to have my hcg repeated. It was strange as it was after a bowel movement but probably because of tensing it's pushed more blood out. It's back to the mucky discharge colour now. Xx

You know it’s quite common to have bleed after bowel movements in early pregnancy 😘
with my mmc I had the same thing I went for a scan and there was no yolk. I had had brown and pink spotting throughout and the odd cramp. I had to go back for a scan a week later and I already knew the outcome. So I opted for a d&c.
I really hope this isn’t the case for you. 😘 I know how you are feeling, the anxiety is awful. I was still having dark dark positive tests after my d&c. They started to fade to nothing eventually. Xxx

also if you had an internal scan that fresh bleed after bowel could well be because of that 😘

DC2023 · 14/08/2024 18:07

@Hopefull441980 do you remember your hcg / progesterone levels ? how many weeks should you have been when there was no yolk? Xx

Hi 😘 no I didn’t have my bloods done. I was just getting really dark tests.
I was 6 week when they saw no yolk so they sent me home to wait to see if I had misjudged my dates (I knew I hadn’t!) so I went back for the second scan and the sac had got larger but nothing else. They offered me a d&c or to go home and eventually it will abort itself but I wanted it done. Xxx

I bleed twice heavily 6 weeks and 8 weeks. I'm awake right now as my 18 month old just stirred. Keep the hope and I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress.
Wishing you the best of luck 🤞🏼

Hopefull441980 · 16/08/2024 18:03

Hi how are you? 😘

DC2023 · 17/09/2024 17:00

Hi all, just an update I am nearly 11 weeks, I have waited to post as I didn't want to tempt fate but I am now feeling more optimistic. Thank you for all of your support and getting me through those early weeks. Xx
