Anyone else SO hungry during pregnancy?

I’m currently 10w6d and my appetite has gone through the roof. Before my pregnancy I never really had a big appetite and I was about 47kgs (normal for my height) but since I’ve been eating so much I’m now 53kgs!! Pregnancy has literally made me insatiable lol. Can’t even step foot into the kitchen without grabbing all the snacks in my path. I’ve been eating more sweet things too, such as chocolates & donuts etc, when before pregnancy I wasn’t such a fan of sweet things and I was more of a savoury person.

This is my first ever pregnancy so it’s just strange to me how my body and typical routines are already changing so much!! Does anyone else experience this/has experienced it in the past and is it normal to suddenly have such a huge appetite for things you wouldn’t normally eat? Thanks!

Yep! Early pregnancy I was like a bottomless pit. And if I got hungry I’d then get bad nausea

2nd trimester was more normal but from 27 weeks I’ve had horrendous reflux so most days eat very little and have actually lost weight on areas that are not my bump 🙈

The rate I was eating though early on I thought someone would be rolling me around by now 🤣

Yup I was like an animal, couldn't get enough. Yet I was the other way, more savoury whereas I used to be all about the sweet things;

I'm now 11 weeks and it has calmed down a little bit. Or I'm trying to control it more as I have a holiday coming up and my thighs are bigger than I would like 🤣

YES in early pregnancy. At 33w my whole abdomen is full so there's nowhere for my stomach to expand to, so I eat a mouthful & am full lol.
As long as you're sticking to a vaguely balanced-ish diet I think you're fine x

Me! I'm 10w today. I've always had a big appetite, with my weight mostly kept in check by doing a lot of exercise, but now I feel like I'm starving constantly, and have dialled back a little on the intensity of my exercise (although still trying to keep up with 4/5 days a week), so feel like at this rate I'm going to be gigantic! Trying not to worry too much though, as I've heard others say it does tend to calm down as time goes on, and I really do feel like I need it, rather than just eating for the sake of it. But I've added at least 3 extra snacks into my day that I wasn't having before! I feel somewhat lucky that I'm not craving too many sweet things, so trying to at least eat things that are nutritious - hummus and pitta, peanut butter, popcorn, olives, bananas, yoghurts... The struggle is real!

@madzcake Ohhh God!!! Same here. I had very bad nausea and the only thing it keep it at bay. I put 4 kilos in 3 months! Not as much as you but almost there! Now, I'm 13w I started to weight all my food and don't be silly eating unhealthy but tasty food. In general I still hungry but under control.
