When to tell child?

Hi!

It's reallyyyyy early days I'm only 4 weeks but out of curiosity I'm just wondering when you told your child/children you were pregnant? My little boy is 3 this month.

My DD was 3 when I had my second and we weren't going to tell her until 20 weeks but ended up being a bit sooner, maybe around 16 because she said something like she really wanted a baby sister so it just felt right to tell her then.

I told my ds the night of my 12 week scan. He was 4.5 at the time but loved sitting on me ect and I obviously needed him to stop!

I wanted to tell him before anyone else.

He didn't find it difficult waiting as has no concept of time. When he asked we just said 'oh it will be ages yet' then the close it got we told him my due date but explained it could be before or after than.

When I felt labour starting we told him he would have a brother soon and he was so excited.
