in a bit of an odd situation and I don't know if anyone can help.
I found out I was pregnant on Saturday after going to the emergency unit with spotting/ light bleeding all week. I knew it could be a possibility that I was pregnant but based on my last period the maths weren't adding up (period 19th-22nd July)
They said I had a very strong positive but obviously was bleeding so needed to follow up. I went today and they said on Saturday my HCG was 400 and something and today it's gone up 70% which means I'm definitely pregnant. But I'm still bleeding. It's the heaviest it's been today but still not heavy enough to soak a pad. But it's blood. I've not got to wait until the 19th for a scan as it's too early.
I'm in such a limbo state I can't see how it will be viable but I've also got two weeks to wait to have any answers. They just said if the bleeding does get heavier to call them back

Unfortunately early pregnancy units are awful in the early stages of pregnancy but it’s absolutely heartbreaking to go through yourself.
I’ve had two miscarriages one at 6 weeks and one at 5 weeks and this is now my third pregnancy I am nearly 8 weeks. I have had on and off bleeding since week 4 and everytime I have prepared myself for another miscarriage. Like you I had my hcg checked and it had doubled, at 5 weeks I had a scan and alls that was seen was an empty gestational sac which caused me more panic, I had another scan done at 7 weeks which confirmed a heart beat. Prior to the scan at 7 weeks I had bright red bleeding with some small clots and really really thought it was the end.
One thing I have had to come to terms with is I cannot change the outcome, I have no other choice but to take pregnancy day by day and wait for the outcome. As awful as this anxious wait is I found it beneficial to stay in bed, watch Netflix and rest during my hard/bad days. Even now I’m fully aware my pregnancy isn’t ‘safe’ and anything could happen but I’m taking things one step at a time and that’s the best advice I could give anyone the anxiety never leaves you but you have to find ways to manage it.
Bleeding in pregnancy can mean a miscarriage but it can also be very common. I really hope you get the best outcome x

So hard to have to just wait it out with these things but just wanted to give a bit of hope. Christmas 2022 we had booked to stay in a nearby city with our toddler and go to the Christmas markets. I found out the morning before that I was pregnant but it was so early and the line was so faint. I tested again the next day and the line just looked the same. When we arrived at the hotel I went to the toilet and realised I was bleeding. It was like the amount it would be if your period had just started. Over the course of the day it turned into a full on period. I had looked forward to our christmasy weekend away for so long and was desperately trying to block it out my mind but felt like I was just walking about having a miscarriage and acting not bothered about it. I just had no idea what was happening. Of course I was frantically googling stuff about chemical pregnancies and the chance it could still be fine. By the time I went to bed I thought il write this month off then and we’ll try again in January.

I woke up the next morning and (tmi) realised no new blood was there and it was just very dark old blood and there was now less and less of it. I made my husband go get another test at the shop and it was again about the same.

Long story short, my little girl turns 1 this week ☺️ I have no idea what it was. I think it could have been extremely heavy implantation bleeding maybe.

I so hope there is a reason like that for yours and you get some good news! I would keep doing tests first thing in the morning and if you leave a week between them you could do the clearblue digitals and see if it progressed from 1-2 2-3 weeks etc. Might give you a slight indication before the scan! Fingers crossed
