Morning sickness

This is my first pregnancy and I was wondering if there are any tips for calming down the sensation of nausea. Powering through is a very difficult option when all you want to do is sleep the feeling away but having to work 🙈. Is there any remedies or tips that people have found successful?

Anti sickness from the GP has been working great for me

Eat small, bland meals, suck ice cubes, eat something before you even move out of bed in the morning, try ginger, try travel sickness acupressure bands, is the classic advice.

None of it worked for me. 🤷‍♀️ Constant nausea for weeks. I'm on metoclopramide now which I thiiiiiink helps a bit, cyclizine did nothing and knocked me out.

Keeping busy helped me, walking, not sitting upright in a chair, avoiding any clothes that are right around my stomach. Cycling through different foods so I don't get averse to them. Eating whatever I can face the idea of eating, whether it's bland/healthy or not. Having a lie down when I need to, even during the working day. And waiting it out, reminding myself it's for a good cause. Hang in there.

So sorry, I had it both times and was exhausting! Jacob’s crackers, just anything dry, lots of rest. Don’t be scared to ask for medical help if you’re really struggling.

Ginger herbal tea helped me, it's not the tastiest but it helped.
And loads of water, I found I felt sick when I was getting hungry so sometimes something small like a piece of fruit was enough to help with the sickness.
Everyone is differently but sugary foods made my nausea worse so you try avoiding them.

Ask GP for cyclizine. It hasn't fully helped but improved my quality of life drastically.
