Pregnant 4 weeks after early miscarriage

So I’m 11dpo and with very diluted urine had a clear positive test this evening (definitely testing negative after miscarriage). On 2nd July at exactly 6 weeks I had a miscarriage but could be CP as the pains started at 5.5 weeks.
Should I be asking the Dr for a blood test to check progesterone/hcg? I’m now concerned I haven’t given my body time, any successes straight after a CP/early miscarriage?

Hi @T0r11210 congrats on your positive test and so sorry to hear you previously had a miscarriage. Definitely ask your doctor to confirm. Did you have a period in between the miscarriage and concieving? I miscarried in early July 2023, had a period in early August and conceived again straight after and baba is now 12 weeks and doing great. I’d heard they like you to have a period in between as it makes dating the pregnancy easier. My doctor was fairly useless and said I wasn’t pregnant as I was negative on their tests despite a week of positive at home. He did bloods and I was on the low side of normal from what I can remember but I’d have been about 4 weeks pregnant at that stage. I then got my old GP I’m still in contact with to refer me to the early pregnancy unit given history of that previous miscarriage plus some pain I was getting and they did a scan at 6 weeks to confirm everything ❤️

Thank you for your reply! I didn’t have a period but I know when I ovulated as I use Mira so caught my oestrogen and LH peak. I also had used the same tests a week after the miscarriage various times and they were stark white.
The EPU were amazing with my miscarriage, and found it hadn’t developed a gestational or yolk sac when they scanned me but I’ve just moved to a new county this week so will need a new referral.

You know your body best and it’s very common to get pregnant straight after an early miscarriage. Take care of yourself, rest up and I’ll keep everything crossed for you. I ended up making the 5+ hour round trip back to where I used to live for the early pregnancy unit as they were able to see me far quicker so if you don’t live too far away that could be an option

@Strawberrybloom thank you, that’s really kind. I may do the same as our family still live over this way and it’s under 2 hrs
