Hey! Finally after 18 months of trying got a positive last Thursday (ironically as my fertility referral got sent off after partners results finally arrived after a long wait!)

Had spotting the last couple of days, nothing major but can't shake the feeling that I'm going to come on my Period.

My cycles are quite long, normally around 40 days... if I put in my last first day of period into due date calculator it puts me at 6weekz however if I put in the date of conception based on when my ovulation was positive it comes up at 4 weeks.... I'm thinking the conception one might be more accurate? Anyone had similar?

Also spotting it making me so anxious! Hate this waiting game

congrats OP! Yes I think the conception calculator would be more accurate especially as your cycle is normally on the longer side. Try not to worry too much about the spotting - it’s fairly common. I’m due March 30th :)

I had spotting in my last pregnancy, nothing this time - I'm due some time early April, I have irregular cycles so not too sure exactly when, could even be the end of March!

Ahh congratulations to you! Have you had any symptoms yet? How many weeks are you? x

Ahhh that's reassuring, I had some with my daughter (9 years ago) but also had some last pregnancy which ended in missed miscarriage so makes me nervous!

Not really, very occasionally sore boobs / feeling a little sick but nothing to particularly notice! How about you? My app says 6+2 though I don’t know if that’s right - my last period started on 23/06.

I had spotting with both my pregnancies which both turned out fine. I totally sympathise with the anxiety it brings! I went to the doctor about it the first time and she kindly said that it happens in lots of pregnancies, a lot of the time everything is fine, sometimes it’s not but there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

Yes I think it's a case of only time will tell, my concern is iv kept doing the strip tests since I found out and there is no progression... my guess is I should be about 18 dpo now and these are the lines 😳

@CharlotteRae have you tried a digital?

CharlotteRae · 30/07/2024 13:42

I did a digital on the first day which said pregnant but I just did the clear blue weeks one and it came up as 2-3 weeks which puts me about right so that's reassured me a little, although the spotting has not stopped yet 😬

@CharlotteRae that’s great that the digital is progressing!
