Hi guys,

I was wondering are you allowed to take your kit days back to back or must they be spread out ? Also as I work in a school if I take my kit days in July would I be paid in full for those days and then in full in august for the summer ?

I took my KIT days back to back (I only did 4 days) as the school needed me in to conduct some exams, but it depends what you are using your KIT days for. They have to be agreed by the school. To get paid fully in August I believe you will need to return to work towards the end of July. This is what I did.

You need to return to work to get full pay for the summer holidays.
The lady on ML at ours came back (not KIT) for the last week of the summer term, and I now back off until September.
The patent splitting parental leave is coming back for a week in September, then off til Xmas.

Ah i see I was thinking of doing this because maternity pay won’t cover the bills after sometime
