Hi @ploo I recognise your username from the ttc thread :) I’m also around 5 weeks and due at the end of March. How have you been feeling?

ploo · 26/07/2024 07:15

Hi @soymilknosugar yes I recognise your name too 😊
I've not been too bad just waking up very early not able to get back to sleep which is really annoying. I had 1 day of awful sickness around 3 days ago and then just minor waves of nausea since then. Other than that I'm feeling ok. How are you feeling?

That’s annoying! I know the feeling as my toddler normally gets up at 5ish🤣 I’m feeling fine thanks, the odd wave of nausea too but nothing major. Currently trying to work out how to self refer for pregnancy in my area as last time I could just email my GP but that function has vanished from the website and I cba to be on hold for 20 mins on the phone for them to tell me they can’t help lol.

ploo · 26/07/2024 08:42

Aww it's horrible isn't it especially when you're tired. Hopefully our waves of nausea doesn't develop into anything worse. I didn't get any sickness with my last pregnancy so fingers crossed it stays that way this time
Ahh that's annoying that they took the email off the website! Our GP has an online request form so I told them earlier this week and they gave me a number to call. Called them yesterday and the midwife only works the start of the week so won't speak to her until Monday
Could you call the EPU instead of the GP? Maybe they can give you a number quicker than your GP can?

Rosequartzz · 26/07/2024 16:37

@soymilknosugar yes it's my first, an IVF baby :)

@ploof I've not been too bad some pulling sensation since yday, tiredness, on/off headaches and really sire boob's. Nausea tends to hit in the evenings only

AmyElizabeth93 · 26/07/2024 14:47

Due my first March 25th 🤗👋

Congratulations @AmyElizabeth93 ! How have you been?

Has one one had their viability scan or is this only done for ivf baby?

ploo · 26/07/2024 17:36

@Rosequartzz ahhh amazing 🥰
Yeah my first pregnancy was like that, quite nauseous in the evenings but didn't stop me eating 😆
No I've not had a viability scan and didn't with my first pregnancy either. I did pay privately to have one but I won't be doing it this time. When do you have yours? Or have you already had it?

I'm due right at the end of March I think. Have posted a bit on the main March thread, but also feeling quite a long way behind others there who are much further along. It's funny how a few weeks makes such a difference in pregnancy and early babyhood, but those timescales are so tiny in the scope of childhood and life.

AmyElizabeth93 · 26/07/2024 18:07

@pploo thankyou! It was a complete suprise if I'm honest but not an unwelcome one! We both wanted kids but hadn't started actively trying!
Also in previous pregnancies that have only reached the 9 week mark I've felt extremely sick, unable to keep anything down but this time around I feel pretty good (don't want to jinx it) mild nausea which peaks in the evenings when I'm tired or if I let myself get hungry!
Praying it stays that way too! What about yourself?

AmyElizabeth93 · 26/07/2024 18:08

@Rosequartzz Thankyou! No scans yet, I have my booking appt 20th August where they should be able to give me a date for a scan (tempted to book with window to the womb before that) x

YorkshireSunshine · 26/07/2024 18:37

Hello everyone,

I’m pregnant with Baby number 2 - due 29th March 😊Definitely feeling the tiredness!! Some nausea and headaches too, but as long as I’ve eaten I’m ok.

I’ve self referred to the midwife via an online form but not heard back yet.

My viability scan is booked for 5th August. With it being IVF and me on so many meds it's always required.

Not quite sure what to expect but I'm looking forward to it

wildhay · 26/07/2024 19:01

Hey

I'm 5wks 2 days, IVF baby number 2!

My 8wk scan with the clinic is booked for 15th aug and midwife appt at the docs is scheduled for when I'm almost 10weeks.

Hoping the next few weeks fly by so I can relax a bit

soymilknosugar · 26/07/2024 19:14

Ahh lovely to hear about all these end of March babies. I know what you mean @InvisibleDragon I popped onto the other thread as well but felt miles behind!

I told myself no early scans this time but 12 weeks feels so long away - will probs cave in and get a private one at around 8-10 weeks.

Digger35 · 26/07/2024 19:21

Hi lovely!

I am joining! I’m from the 1dpo tww thread!
I’m going to see if @laurenpops @tdcp @zb2019 @AmateurHour6 @gg9320 Would like to join too !!

Bababybell · 26/07/2024 19:48

Hi can I please join? I’m due 23rd March 2025 and I’ve got a 3 year old. I’m booked in to see the midwife on the 15th August and my local EPU have said I can book in for a scan at 6.5 weeks because of previous losses. All fingers crossed. My
boobs are sore and I’ve started taking defensive poses when my daughter climbs on me! I then start to worry if they are sore though or just in my head or if they don’t feel as sore as before what does that mean. I’ve some nausea in the evening but I don’t like to say for definite in case it’s nausea for different reasons or I’m imagining it and I don’t want to jinx anything. It’s a strange time but I’m focussed on resting as much as possible and eating well, little and often. I’m a teacher so being on the 6 week holiday is hugely positive for me to be stress free.

SunshineMummy2 · 26/07/2024 21:02

Hey im due beginning March '25 I'd love to join. 3rd baby almost 9 weeks.. already paid for a private scan as I was stressing! Hopefully everything will be ok.

Rosequartzz · 26/07/2024 21:29

So good to see so many on here ! Congratulations to everyone.

Today and yesterday I've been getting bursts of pulling sensation with a sharp pain (not an unbearable pain, but definitely noticeable) it lasts a second at most. Anyone getting the same or experienced this is the past. Anything to worry about?

It's taken us 4 years and many cycles of IVF to get here that I've realised things like this have me worried and anxious.
