@AmyElizabeth93 Oh my goodness! I’m so pleased you’re ok and baby Roman is here and safe ❤️ do you know when you might be able to go home?
Thank you, yes I have! I came across it when looking up breech exercises. I struggle to get on the sofa with my bum in the air though, the blood just rushes to my head 😂 moxi bustion came up too…not sure if that’ll do much.
Right, I’m packing my bag today…5 weeks to go!

FruitPoppet · 21/02/2025 17:18

@AmyElizabeth93 congrats on the arrival of your baby! How exciting x

Also definitely going to pack my bag now haha. And stop procrastinating the last few bits I need to do!

How is everyone else feeling? Anyone had any twinges /feelings/vibes? I reaaally want a March baby, but being due right at the end and it being my first I'm not hopeful she'll be early! I've also been told I need an iron infusion and b12 injections, but kind of excited to potentially not feel like crap all the time.. If they work! And I officially finish work on the 25th February, and very ready for it.

Getting ready to meet babe now x

Rosequartzz · 21/02/2025 20:25

I'm end of March too, bags have been packed since week 33 and good thing too as I've ended up unexpectedly in hospital and need to remain until baby arrives, which I've been told must be by week 37 (1.5 weeks) or the moment P.E presents.

Ladies, pack your bags and I wish you all the very best.

Anticipationstation · 21/02/2025 20:46

Oh wow, congratulations @AmyElizabeth93!! That must have been quite a surprise! Glad to hear you and baby Roman are doing well!

Sending love to you too @Rosequartzz - I hope all is OK and you’re as comfortable as possible in hospital.

@FruitPoppet I’m hoping for an end of March baby too, ideally 30th or 31st as I have plans until then… But this thread is showing that these things can’t really be manifested! Obviously I’ll take whatever I’m given, just hoping it’s all OK. I’ve definitely been prompted by reading here to at least pack a bag this week!

Thinking of you all! x

figgyandpig · 21/02/2025 23:58

@Rosequartzz I hope everything’s ok & the hospital stay isn’t too hard. Let us know how you get on. Do you have to stay on your own or can your partner be with you?

@FruitPoppet feeling ok, lots of movements so hoping baby has turn back to head down 🤞

I’ve just got back from watching the new Bridget jones film & omg what an emotional rollercoaster that was!! I cried the whole time 🙈😂

I called for swelling getting worse and they asked for my BP which was sky high. Coupled with a few things pointing towards possible early onset PE so they said I had to come in. BP is medically controlled and me and baby are very closely monitored. Partner can stay the entire time. The sleeping for him isn't comfortable so he doesn't stay.

Goldpanther · 22/02/2025 10:00

Also due end of March! Have a feeling I'm going to one of the ones going overdue into April 😬

Still feeling really good about being pregnant and haven't started slowing down yet.

I have everything ready for my hospital bag, just not in the bag. Probably need to test fitting the car seat at some point...

Ahhh ok. How are you feeling? I’m constantly worrying about PE but they’ve told me everything is normal. I great you’re there and they can keep an eye on you. I wonder if you can have someone come in and give you some reflexology or back massage? 😂 I guess it gets pretty boring some days?

Glad you are being closely monitored and that your parter is able to be with you! ❤️ You sound like you’re dealing with things really well. Seconding @figgyandpig suggestion of some in hospital pampering if you can get it!

Doing an Amazon order now for newborn nappies, cotton wool, breast pads and lovely postpartum pants. Trying to think if there are any other essentials I need?

Aside from the swelling which isn't reducing, I'm fine. I don't even notice the BP because I have no other symptoms of PE but my bloods show kidney function isn't optimal which is a lead up to potential PE and sometimes BP goes up even with meds and the meds give me a headache. It's honestly been the thing I've been worried about too.

I've brought my laptop with me so I've been able to work to keep me occupied and make the day go faster.

Today I've spent most of it sleeping. It can get quite boring so you just find things to keep entertained.

How are you getting on ?

FruitPoppet · 03/03/2025 16:42

It's looking like I may get my march baby! I've been having continuous growth scans due to reduced movements, and today at 36+3 babe is estimated to weight 8lb 12oz 🤣 the doctor did say there could be a 20% inaccuracy, so she could be smaller or much bigger!!! So I've been made an appointment with a consultant to talk induction or c section, eeek. Does anyone have an experience with any of this? .. Feeling nervous that my dreams of a natural spontaneous home birth are quickly diminishing (I know I can stick to my OG plan, but I have terrible health anxiety and would hate to have something so so wrong at home and it be a big baby complication!)

figgyandpig · 03/03/2025 17:12

@FruitPoppet my first was meant to be a home birth but ended with an induction due to not growing as per the growth scan at 40+6 and 3 days of labour later I had an emergency c section. To be honest, it was all a blur because I was high as a kite 😂 the gas and air got me through most of it. I had an epidural on day two of labour and once that wore off I opted for c section the evening of day 3. I had a side effect from the oxytocin drip which gave me double contractions 😬 but the epidural helped with that. Because of this my son was exhausted and in distress so best to do c section.

once he was born we could see he had grown and they did get it wrong. But to be honest, my labour and birth was pretty good. Not what I wanted but felt smooth in that they did everything I asked. It was the after care that was awful for me. I’m feeling stronger this time to stand my ground with some of the health care assistants.

you could ask for another scan to compare? With induction you can do 1 thing at a time too, ease your body into it? If I do induction I’ll do it slowly next time. Although, if your body’s not ready, it’s not ready and like me, it could go on for bloody ever 😂

keeps us updated, I hope you miraculously go into spontaneous labour and don’t have to worry about all this! Xx

@Rosequartzz ahhh glad you can get some rest and the symptoms aren’t too bad. When are you due? Will they do induction or wait to see what happens?

I had my last growth scan today and baby is head down now thankfully. Protein + in my urine but no other symptoms. The protein thing freaks me out but they’re not worried.

soymilknosugar · 03/03/2025 17:53

@FruitPoppet oh bless you, hope the consultant appt helps put your mind at ease. Growth scans can be pretty inaccurate from what I’ve heard anecdotally! I was induced with my first and have a c section booked this time around x

Anticipationstation · 06/03/2025 22:00

Hope everyone is doing well, especially @Rosequartzz and @AmyElizabeth93 and baby Roman!

How are you getting on @FruitPoppet? Have you had your consultant appointment yet? I was induced at 39 weeks with my first as he was supposedly above the 99th centile. The induction was fine, but he ended up being on the 40-something centile at birth so hardly a whopper! Hopefully the appointment will give you some clarity.

@figgyandpig I had my last planned growth scan today too! They have booked me for another after my due date but I’m so hoping it isn’t needed…

Feeling very fed up of being pregnant now and feeling like the baby is going to burst out through my belly button by the end of each day!

Rosequartzz · 06/03/2025 22:34

Hey ladies, thanks for all the check ins. We've had a beautiful healthy baby girl at 36+4.

Pre-eclampsia set in in full force and we were started on induction 36+3 nice and slow so we could get as close as possible to 37 weeks and have the natural birth as planned.

The following morning I hadnt felt her move, the monitors picked up her rate was dropping and within minutes I was under general anaesthetic with her born less than 10 mins later.

I wasn't mad about it as I had alot of monitoring and bloods everyday for 2 weeks prior so I'm well aware how much they tried to follow my plans to keep her in close to 37 weeks and ensure I don't get fully sick as my liver and kidney function was getting worrying.

All the care received has been amazing and she's been given the all clear within 24 hours of being born
Aside from being a small premie there are no concerns.

P.s our bag was ready from week 32/33 don't take a chance ladies you just never know. Wishing you all the birth you have anticipated, but most importantly a hethy baby and a positively memorable birth 💖 ❤️

sel2223 · 08/03/2025 05:49

Congratulations @Rosequartzz

figgyandpig · 08/03/2025 07:42

@Rosequartzz Awwww yay she’s here! So pleased you’re both doing well & it went well. Now you can relax and enjoy all those snoozy cuddles 🥰

FruitPoppet · 10/03/2025 08:38

Aww congratulations to all you new mamma's. So exciting. I can't wait now! Thanks for sharing all your induction/ c section stories x

Consultant appointment on Wednesday, I'm doing everything in my power to get her out spontaneously before then so I don't have to make a choice for induction or Elective C section as Im still really torn on what's best for me. Definitely feel ✨different✨ this week; tired, achy pelvis, very short tempered 😂 so hoping it's things shifting for the better.

I do think she will be big, I'm tall and my partner is too. He was pushing 12lb at birth, which is no joke. So while I'm taking the growth scans with a pinch of salt, it's also quite believable that she is gonna be a chunky chicken 🐔

Hope everyone else is coping okay with these last few weeks ❤️

Anticipationstation · 13/03/2025 11:27

How did your appointment go @FruitPoppet? Hope your feeling of things being different is telling you something, and you get to meet your chunky chicken (so cute) soon!

Thinking of you all, and all the new babies too! The rest of us are nearly there now, eek... I'm going away for a hen do this weekend, which is possibly unwise but I'm aware that it's probably my last chance at an evening away for the next year or so, so currently trying to pack a mini hospital kit alongside the usual stuff. The most random hen do bag ever - few nappies, wellies, tiny vest, fancy dress, disposable pants, glow sticks! Very much hoping everything remains in situ until after Sunday!🙏

Consultant was lovely and very sweet to me. I explained I was already comfortable about dissolving home birth plans, so was in her good books straight away. She said she would heavily consult me to induce, and didn't mention anything about a section... So I'm tentatively booked in for induction at 38+4. Still feeling unsure, so I may yet put off until 39 weeks and keep working on spontaneous labour..

Absolutley love the blended bag packing, I hope you get some good giggles from glow sticks at the hospital if you end up in labour!

Anticipationstation · 17/03/2025 20:57

How’s it going everyone? Fortunately baby didn’t arrive during the hen do, so now I’m just trying to finish up at work and wait patiently. Hope you’re all well.

FruitPoppet · 19/03/2025 20:57

Came in at midday to be induced. Cervix was surprisingly soft so I qualified for a cook balloon induction. A series of set backs has meant it's only just been inserted, but I'm officially at the start of induction! Hope everyone else is well xxx

sel2223 · 19/03/2025 20:59

Best of luck @FruitPoppet not long now until you will meet your baby.

Congratulations to those with their new arrivals. I'm loving all the updates.

Almost 39 weeks here and no sign yet

Anticipationstation · 20/03/2025 14:51

Ahh how exciting @FruitPoppet! Hope it’s all going smoothly for you!

@sel2223 I’m still waiting with you. Have been offered a sweep next week but still mulling over what to do! Hope you’re feeling OK.
