Baby girl, Seren Ostara, born yday via forceps after a rushed induction. Almost 10lb of chunky baby! Not the birth I imagined, but certainly not traumatic. And it really is true that getting a sweet little babe at the end of the ordeal does make it all worth it. In hosp for a few nights with some nasty tears and excess blood loss. But very content. Wishing you all sweet babies soonxxx

Congratulations and welcome to the world Seren (beautiful name).

I'm about to head to the hospital for my pre op. ELCS booked for Monday

Anticipationstation · 23/03/2025 21:26

Congratulations @FruitPoppet and welcome to baby Seren! ❤️

Hope all goes smoothly for you tomorrow @sel2223, and that all new mums and babies are doing well.

Have a feeling mine is going to be late.

Feeling the phrase 'newborn trenches' this night. Sleep deprivation is setting in! 5 days at tye hospital and this is our first night home. I'm terrified to sleep when she sleeps, so I'm making my partner get a long run of sleep hours in while I sit up with her, then I'll wake him and we'll switch. This is normal ft behaviour yes!?

I think it's normal - I remember being like that with my first and now thinking this will be me again very soon! It should settle down in a few days once you realise she's OK and settled and will soon tell you if she needs anything.

I'm currently wide awake and unable to sleep as my mind is racing thinking I'm going to meet our baby girl in a matter of hours! ELCS's are surreal.

Thank-you for replying, I'm watching reruns of friends obsessing whether the baby is warm enough, so appreciate the distracting friendly reply.

Ahh you must be so excited! I hope you have a speedy recovery and straightforward procedure xxx

Thank you 🙏

Friends is a good shout - I've got a few Netflix series and documentaries on the list to watch over the coming weeks.

Also got given one of those glowing temperature night light things which changes colour depending on the temp of the room so you can make sure its not too hot or cold - not used it yet and didn't have one with DD1 but going to give it a try as I was forever obsessing about the room tenp first time round.

How are you {mention:sel2223}@sel2223?

sel2223 · 26/03/2025 08:04

Our second little princess was born yesterday morning by ELCS 🩷
We're still in hospital as I've had some issues with BP but otherwise all is perfect and couldn't have gone better.

Anticipationstation · 26/03/2025 10:50

Awww congratulations @sel2223! Hope you're both being looked after and BP settles soon!

How are you getting on @FruitPoppet? I definitely remember sitting up for hours and just watching my eldest breathe when I first went home from hospital. So exhausting, but definitely normal! I hope you're all settling in to being at home.

figgyandpig · 26/03/2025 21:56

Congratulations on the new arrivals! So nice to see us all having our little ones 🤍
I have my elected c section tomorrow. Shitting myself but it’s the last hurdle before I get to meet our little miracle.

We're defo in the trenches but getting by. Everything is either super beautiful and amazing or desperately hard 😂but I wouldn't change a thing. Finding my swing with BFing and secretly enjoy the midnight cluster feedingb💖

Bought one of the tomee tipee thermometer night lights, honestly the best thing every for anxious parents, great recommendations!

Anticipationstation · 29/03/2025 13:56

Sounds lovely @FruitPoppet! Glad you’re enjoying your little bubble. ❤️ Thinking of you too @figgyandpig, and everyone else who has had their little one!

Still absolutely no sign of anything happening here… Planning a long walk, hot curry, pineapple type of afternoon.

figgyandpig · 30/03/2025 10:34

We have a boy! Baby Quinn is here. Friday 27th at 9:23 8lb 15 ounces. after 5 years of trying & 4 rounds of ivf. What a ride. 🧡

elected c section on Thursday went really well. Forgot how hard breast feeding is but on day 4 so still a long way to go 😴 @FruitPoppet deffo with you on it being magical & awful at the same time 😂

hope everyone is doing well, thanks to you all for reassuring me & supporting me through this pregnancy! Hopefully we can help each other out through the fourth trimester too! 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Anticipationstation · 01/04/2025 07:53

Congratulations @figgyandpig!! What a lovely photo ❤️

FruitPoppet · 08/04/2025 15:45

How is everyone?

Day 18 and we've only managed to leave the house for appointments 😂 little one will sleep for 3 hours in the day, but only 1.5 at night and I think is getting some reflux so struggles to be put down 😴

Hope everyone else is surviving the newborn stage x

Anticipationstation · 09/04/2025 20:47

I finally had a little boy last week! 💙

Currently having a snuggle and sniffing his head, which is the best part of him needing to stay upright for at least half an hour after a feed. 😂 Have been finding the sling really helpful during the day so that I can keep him vertical and also go for nice walks and do what I need to do. Obviously that doesn’t work so brilliantly at night!

Hope you and your little ones are all doing really well.

figgyandpig · 12/04/2025 10:37

congratulations @Anticipationstation on your little boy! I’ve been using the ergo carrier, it’s so handy especially whilst trying to get stuff done.

@FruitPoppet reflux is so annoying! My eldest had it quit bad. I would feed him in the carrier up right & he slept on a little mattress wedge. I also put books under one side of his next to me cot. It was silent reflux so not much sick.

I’ve had to start expressing because Quinn has a top lip tie and a posterior tongue tie 🤦🏽‍♀️ hoping to get it all sorted next week for him but it’s been a nightmare trying to feed. The contact napping is so nice though, I love all the cuddles 🥰

FruitPoppet · 19/08/2025 05:27

Hi everyone x hope you're all well and thinking of everyone as we approach or have approached 6 months of these babes ❣️❣️❤️

figgyandpig · 19/09/2025 22:49

Hello 👋 hanging on in there! The summer holidays were a whirlwind with my eldest and all his planned activities and birthday. Happy now we’re back in our routine.
cant believe they’ll all be 6 months soon! I had to start feeding Quinn at 5m+1w because he’d go mad every time we ate, literally clawing at my fork. I got Quinn’s tongue tie clipped at 8 weeks finally but they couldn’t do anything for his top lip tie so the breast feeding was absolute agony. After pumping and nipple shields I’ve finally given up and slowly moved to formula, I’m actually so relieved 😂 it was horrid! My poor boobs will never be the same!
how is everyone getting on? @FruitPoppet how was the reflux in the end? Did it sort itself out? 🤍🤍

Anticipationstation · 19/09/2025 22:52

How is it nearly 6 months already?! Hope you and your babies are all doing well! x
