@UncharteredWaters Oh my goodness! That is further isn’t it 😍 so you’ve managed to skip all the rubbish symptoms! So cute the baby was waving I bet you felt amazing. How do you feel with the change of dates? You mentioned feeling worried? If the scan was healthy that’s great right? I’ve started having nausea & today’s been the worst. I’ve actually started being sick so have had to cancel some of my clients. I’m a holistic therapist and I can’t keep stopping to wretch during someone’s reflexology 🤣

Edited

It’s lovely to be 4 weeks ahead but also I worry about the 4 weeks when I didn’t know I was pregnant!
I’m glad I didn’t know there was a strange blood stained mucus at one point so glad I didn’t know at that stage.

That’s rubbish you’re feeling sick today. Holistic therapist is fab, hopefully you have lots of tips to stop the sickness 🤞🏼

@UncharteredWaters don't worry about something you cannot change.
My friend didn't know for a while and her son is absolutely fine and healthy! X

Is there anything I could be doing to relieve breast discomfort please? Any cream or something? I am wearing maternity bra during the day that is very comfy but when I wake up in the morning I'm very sore.

When I’d just had my DD, I had a nighttime crop-top style bra which I used to sleep in. I got a multi-pack from Amazon and they were pretty cheap - they didn’t really offer much support but just made sleeping a little more comfortable. Maybe something like that would work?

@Zaliuuu something like this maybe?

So I went for my scan this morning and by their estimation I’m significantly ahead of what I thought and more likely 11 weeks!!!

On one hand it’s a lot of worry I don’t have to have but has brought a whole other range of worries!!

Seeing bump waving was lovely though!!

Wonderful news and wow 11 weeks! I think no matter what happens we worry don’t we. How lovely to see your little one waving ❤️

ploo · 13/08/2024 10:56

How is everyone doing?

Had a repeat scan today. Measuring 7 weeks (I thought I was 8 but I ovulated a bit later than normal so maybe that's why). The sonographer pointed out the head and bum and a heart beat 🥰

Geminishivani · 13/08/2024 11:06

I'm 8 weeks as per the app and have my scan later this week. I've just been feeling no symptoms at all in the last 2-3 days. Just slight tiredness but I'm freaking myself out. I haven't really had bad nausea till date but what I used to feel in my stomach (slight heaviness) isn't there anymore. Am I overthinking this?

sel2223 · 13/08/2024 11:08

@ploo that's great about your scan, all sounds perfect!

I went for a scan last week and would have been 8 weeks from last period date but baby only measured 6+1. All looked OK and I heard a pretty strong heartbeat so hoping it's just from ovulating late - I do have long, irregular cycles.

Going back for another scan next week.

ploo · 13/08/2024 14:19

@Geminishivani I also don't have any symptoms other than my boobs feeling a bit tender and fuller but I have a very small chest so may be more sensitive because of that.
I also had a very heavy feeling which stopped around 2 weeks ago. I wouldn't worry too much. The exact same thing happened in my first pregnancy also. What day is your scan?

@sel2223 ahh it's lovely to see the flutter of a heartbeat isn't it. Good luck for your scan next week 💕

figgyandpig · 13/08/2024 15:04

@Geminishivani I too am over analysing my symptoms or lack of. I’ve had nothing from day one (vvvvslight pulling in lower tummy) but over the last couple of weeks I’ve had nausea on and off. Because that’s my only symptom when it’s not there it freaks me out. I’ve booked another scan at 9 weeks which will be on the 23rd, I’m 7w+4 and had a scan last week confirming all good but I just keep waiting for somthing to go wrong. Pregnancy after loss is torture 😢

Geminishivani · 13/08/2024 15:58

@ploo Thanks, I've got some sore and itchy boobs as well but today, I'm feeling so refreshed and full of energy that it kinda scared me. I have my first appointment on Friday but the scan may still be a few weeks away. I'm thinking of going for a private one in between if the feeling persists.

@figgyandpig I've been the same ever since I found out. My nausea is quite mild (not complaining at all) but there's definitely been an aversion to food in general. Last couple of days, absolutely nothing - which is what is freaking me out.

Anticipationstation · 13/08/2024 20:05

Great news @ploo!

I feel pretty rough from the nausea at the moment. However, was vomiting at least 8 times per day at this point in my previous pregnancies so I’m almost worried I don’t feel bad enough. I am taking regular Xonvea so maybe that’s taking the edge off. Have a scan this weekend and just hoping everything is OK! Sending love to you all x

ploo · 14/08/2024 15:06

@Geminishivani ahh sorry think I misread your previous post. I thought you were saying you have a scan later this week. I did a private one with my first pregnancy and definitely helped put my mind at rest when I was having no symptoms x

@Anticipationstation ahh did you have Xonvea with your previous pregnancies? Hope your scan goes ok this weekend. Let us know how it goes x

Anyone else feeling like crap? Almost like I'm coming down with the flu or something. Been like this for maybe 3-4 days now. Tend to feel better in the evening after a bit of rest. Temperature is fine and no other symptoms. Just feeling very tired and run down

OP posts:
SunshineMummy2 · 17/08/2024 15:39

@ploo I feel pretty rough too. 11 weeks now. I've stopped taking all any sickness as fed up of feeling extra sleepy. Now I'm just pregnancy sleepy lol. Praying this all passes soon. Feel like a shell of myself but upside is 4 days no throwing up. You'll pull through!!

Rosequartzz · 17/08/2024 22:08

@ploo the last few days have been rough. I feel like everything is happening at the same time I don't know what to deal with first. I'm tired, hungry, thirsty and need to pee all at the same time ! I'm a bit opposite to you with sickness recently. I'm OK in the morning and then evenings I've started vomiting

Naps are the time it's the easiest

figgyandpig · 20/08/2024 11:17

How is everyone feeling? I’m 8w+4 and I’m worrying a lot. We’ve got a private scan on Friday 9 weeks & I just have this bad feeling, like it’s not going to be good. I’ve still got nausea & have been sick a few times, sore nipples and tired but you can still have all that and miscarry I’ve read. Anyone got any advice on how to stop catastrophising & relax? My husbands starting to get frustrated with me too. My pregnancy discharge has stopped over the last 2 days, that’s worrying me. I wish I could relax and not look too deep into every twinge!

sel2223 · 20/08/2024 11:23

Hi Everyone, hope you are all feeling 'ok', I know this is a rough stage for a lot of us (me included). I'm struggling with food aversions......really fancy something, make it, then manage a couple of bites before the nausea hits again.

Also very anxious this time round. Early scan tomorrow at what should be 8+2 and I'm half excited/ half dreading it incase there is bad news

soymilknosugar · 20/08/2024 13:50

@figgyandpig @sel2223 Good luck for your early scans - symptoms are a really positive sign so I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about :)

My nausea has become really full-on and I seem to have a banging headache most days which I’m struggling with. Hoping it calms down soon!

My sickness has been really bad today, hardly kept much down, the nausea is constant. Headaches are awful, can you have paracetamol? Everything should calm down soon as we all move into the 2nd trimester.

soymilknosugar · 20/08/2024 18:53

@figgyandpig ah that’s so hard, hope you’re managing to rest up and look after yourself. Yeah I took paracetamol today which took the edge off!

UncharteredWaters · 20/08/2024 19:06

@figgyandpig totally can have paracetamol.
BUMPS website is a great resource for medicines in pregnancy- think it’s best use medication in pregnancy.
hope you’re well hydrated to help the headache and nausea.
