I'm due right at the end of March I think. Have posted a bit on the main March thread, but also feeling quite a long way behind others there who are much further along. It's funny how a few weeks makes such a difference in pregnancy and early babyhood, but those timescales are so tiny in the scope of childhood and life.

@InvisibleDragon welcome! Yes I felt the same way when I looked at the thread that was shared in here. Congratulations! Is this your first?

@Rosequartzz aww good luck for the scan. When I paid for it privately I was a little bit disheartened by it at first but they are checking for a heartbeat which is visible on the scan. It blown my mind a little bit once I could see it all. I did have to go back after a week though to check everything was still ok as baby was measuring a bit smaller than expected. Hope it all goes well for you 💕

So good to see so many on here ! Congratulations to everyone.

Today and yesterday I've been getting bursts of pulling sensation with a sharp pain (not an unbearable pain, but definitely noticeable) it lasts a second at most. Anyone getting the same or experienced this is the past. Anything to worry about?

It's taken us 4 years and many cycles of IVF to get here that I've realised things like this have me worried and anxious.

I had this today too! Don’t think it’s anything to worry about x

@Rosequartzz I've definitely had this. I remembered it in first pregnancy as well. I view it as a good sign that you can feel your body making sure everything is sewn in tightly 😊

I also had this didn't think much of it. I also wake up at 6am and ready for bed by 10pm. That's NOT my usual routine at all:). Also this baby to be makes me drink so much water it's insane:)

Zaliuuu · 27/07/2024 08:12

I see some of you had your scan already and so quickly. I have found out on Wednesday this week and immediately self referred to my GP and then local hospital. The GP will call me on 7th August and hospital will send me the letter within 7days. I'm a bit anxious because just before finding out we have booked a trip abroad for 28th August to 11th September. I really hope I can be seen before I go :(

Yes it is our first baby and it is still hard to believe it is happening! Is this your first too?
I'm also based in the suburbs of West London:)

It is indeed our first. I'm the same as you, 6am wake up and 10pm in bed, although most of this is due to medication timing. The thirst is unreal, constant dry mouth too ! I'm in northwest London, close to Wembley

InvisibleDragon · 27/07/2024 09:04

@ploo Thank you! It will be my second I hope - I also have a 2yo!

@Rosequartzz what medication are you taking? Is it pregnancy related?
I'm a bit further down in Uxbridge, fairly close for a moms meet up I guess :)

As its an IVF baby I'm different progesterone meds and blood thinners. You're definitely too far from me

Bababybell · 27/07/2024 11:41

I’m in the north west just outside Manchester. I didn’t sleep last night with restless legs and the need to stretch out my hip sockets - it was almost unbearable. I ended up falling asleep contorted on the couch after lots of yoga on the floor in pigeon pose and childs pose which was the only way I could get relief. Has anyone else had this? I feel it in the day but it’s worse at night.

SunshineMummy2 · 27/07/2024 12:28

@Zaliuuu I did my 8 week privately but only got my dates for my nhs scans yesterday. I notified my GP and got referred 3 weeks ago so I think it takes time . X

@wildhay Welcome and congrats 😊 how are you feeling?

Thank you, I'm feeling tired but otherwise ok

I've been crazy cleaning and tidying like it's a compulsion 🤣 I think the concerns I have about how I'll juggle a baby and a 3 year old has manifested into me trying to prepare...7 and a half months early hahaha

Zaliuuu · 27/07/2024 21:21

@Bababybell sorry to hear... I imagine having going through something like that later on in pregnancy, only in week 5. I didn't sleep well last night either though

ploo · 28/07/2024 07:59

@wildhay I've been the same. Trying to organise everything! I also have a 3 year old and I'm a little bit worried how we're going to cope. I'm sure will all be fine though

Does anyone else get worried if their nausea just stops?
Previous pregnancies I've been sooo sick physically non stop, this one so far just feeling nauseous and last night and this morning so far I have felt completely normal? Why is it so worrying 😂 not that any of us want sickness! I've been soo poorly with a chest infection the last week and finally feeling better so hoping that might just be it - I haven't met my midwife to ask yet so not quite sure what to think of it!

Steffi12 · 28/07/2024 11:21

Hi ladies!

Just wondering if I can join too please? I have been looking for a thread as I find these forums so supportive! Due 31st of March. This is my third pregnancy with no living children. I’ve had 2 MMCs in the past 1.5yrs so as happy as I am I’m feeling a little anxious as I just hope everything is okay this time 🤞🏻
Im not eligible for any early scans/tests as in my area they only do that after 3 MCs. I’ve booked a scan where I should be 7w2d going off my LMP but I ovulate a little earlier and have shorter cycles so hoping they’re a little further along as I know even a couple of days can make such a difference! I was wondering if anyone has any experience of a scan that early? I would like to wait for 8 weeks as I feel more can be seen but Ive had to book it earlier as I’m already off work and nearly used all my sick days up for this year with my MMC in Feb. I appreciate probably not much more than a little blob and hopefully a HB can be seen. I’ve also got some scan anxiety as the nature of my missed MCs I’ve only found out at scans things are wrong and never have any physical signs of miscarriage.
Another thing is the bloat this time around is crazy!! I have put on weight since definitely my first MC as I’m terrible for eating when I’m down 🙉 so not sure if it’s just that, but don’t remember being this big my second pregnancy! I’m in baggy t shirts already!! Just wondering how other people are? I’m trying not to get any hopes of twins up 🙈 X

pbdr · 28/07/2024 11:47

I'd like to join too please! I'm 4 weeks and 6 days, due date 31st March. This would be my second, we already have a 2yr 9 month girl who loves babies and would be a great big sister. It's hard not to be anxious about something going wrong. We have a scan booked for 2 weeks today just for reassurance, and to clarify how many there are (very strong family history of twins- very much hoping for a singleton!).
So far so be been getting some cramping (I had absolutely horrendous cramping during my pregnancy with my daughter at this stage, this time it's much milder), some nausea and just feeling knackered. I'm spending every evening after our toddler is in bed fast asleep on the sofa. Hopefully that passes soon.
Exciting but nerve wracking!

I was off work with nausea and vomiting Monday to Thursday barely able to move from the sofa. Then I had 36h with no nausea or vomiting at all and now it's back. Not quite as intense as earlier in the week but it's ramping up again
