Aspirin before a fresh embryo transfer

Hi I need some advice as I’m confused and it’s very overwhelming reading on Dr. Google.

In 2021 at age 37 I had a fresh embryo transfer (resulted in my now 2 year old son) and started taking aspirin around week 16 as suggested by NHS consultant (he said I should have started at week 12 but midwife or no one else told me).

After that at age 39 I have had 2 FET’s:
First (did not take aspirin) had a missed miscarriage at week 9
Second transfer (started aspirin on day 2 of my period) but did not implant.

I have just turned 40 and going to start a new IVF cycle in 2 weeks and my question is would you start aspirin now/soon? Or wait till after implantation or positive test (if it’s successful) or at week 12?

Thank you for reading.

I can't comment on ivf part/process however, I always take aspirin from a few days of ovulation day to encourage implantation with better blood flow.

I was on 75mg daily until 12 weeks though the midwife increased to 150mg, so I think 150mg is the daily dosage recommended for pregnancy x

I've had aspirin for several frozen embryo transfers and have always been advised to start five days before transfer, when I start progesterone support.

The best thing would be to speak to your clinic. Aspirin may have an impact on any other medications or egg collection so i wouldn't take it just in case. Good luck with your cycle
