Not sure if I'm being too concerned but I had my daughter 4 months ago after birth (emergency C-Section due to her being premature 31 + 3) I bleed for the first 3-4 days but I started my first period on 7th June it is now 21st July and I am still on is this normal or should I be concerned?

Are you expressing or breastfeeding?

The proper first period after birth can be A LOT heavier, I know both times I was like omg what is happening, having to change a pad every hour or so and it went on maybe double the amount of time it normally does. But I wouldn't say bleeding for 6 weeks in a normal period is usual, personally I would phone the GP for a check up.

I am the same although mines started on the 3rd June and I'm still bleeding. I had mentioned to the nurse after 3 weeks and she told me it was normal. As Im still bleeding I spoke to Dr last week and she said it was the Cerelle pill I am on that is causing it so she changed me over to a combined pill. I am still bleeding although I'd imagine it'll take a while for it to balance my hormones however if I'm still bleeding in a couple of weeks I'm going to contact drs again. Mines keeps on going light as though its going to stop then it goes heavy again.

I thought it could have been to do with the pill i was on (desogestrel) which is a mini pill so i stopped taking it and still on x

Can you do an e-consult? The only other thing it may be is are you on contraception? I went on the pill about 8 weeks after I had my second child and I was constantly bleeding on it and had to stop. I didn't stop bleeding immediately after taking it either it took a couple of weeks.

I was going to say try and speak to your GP but I can see you have already tried to contact them 😞.

The Dr did say to me it would take time for it all to settle with me changing pill and when I asked how long she said she couldn't say as everyone is different. If I had chosen to stay on the mini pill she could've gave me something to stop the bleeding but I didn't see the point if I was to go back onto the same pill (Cerelle) which was causing the issues. I'll be day 50 tomorrow of bleeding. The Dr also said to me as long as it doesn't smell foul etc then it doesn't sound like an infection. Some people apparently do just take a lot longer for it all to settle.

6 weeks is very long to be bleeding. Hopefully it's nothing but you could have retained placenta fragments that your body is now trying to expel (this happened to me after I had my second, and it finally got expelled months after the birth).

If I were you I'd ring 111 if you can't get through to your gp.

Yes normal, mine lasted weeks. My second was a week late but back to normal

Regardless of what they may think pill or not. Bleeding that long can have health affects - Anemic which is not good.
I would be asking for a referral to OBGYN asap. Unleas your Gp specialisea in womena health and Gynae then they only know the surface level.
