Is my bump normal at 8 weeks?

Hi there!

This is my first pregnancy and this is my bump at 8 weeks pregnant.

Am I supposed to be showing already?
Also can you guess by the shape which gender it could be yet 😂

That’s not a pregnancy bump OP that’s just your tummy/bloating, at 8 weeks the baby is around 1.5cm x

That is just bloat…but yes very normal at 8 weeks.

Baby is about the size of a raspberry at this point, so can't tell sex.

IF that's an actual bump, I'd say probably not usual for a first pregnancy.

I think my 'bump' was more evident at 7 or 8 weeks than at 12 because of the bloating you get in early pregnancy. It's pretty normal. I don't think there's anything in the theory that you can tell the sex by the way you are carrying, but especially not so early.

Yeah it’s just bloating, baby is tiny and very tucked away right now. No way of telling gender at thsi point(not from looking anyway). Congratulations.

It's just bloating I'm afraid - don't feel scared when that bump "disappears"! You'll get smaller before you get a bump

Omg don't start with the 'it looks like you're having twins', the poor woman is only 8 weeks along!

But anyway yes with your first it will be bloating.

I got my bump very early, and it was definitely a bump, not bloat. I then carried very in the front (everyone loved to tell me how big I was) - so it might just be how your body is shaped! I'm pretty short and fairly slim so don't know if that's to do with it

The foetus is hidden behind your public bone till at least 12 weeks, so no, that bump is not the baby, nor can the sex be determined yet.

I'm very thin and it was 14 -16 weeks before I was even a hair bigger.

My first pregnancy I was really bloated throughout the first trimester then lost it so went smaller..... I had the smallest neatest bump throughout the second trimester then ' popped' about 32/33 weeks.

Second pregnancy and I swear I've had a bump since 7/8 weeks!
