2nd pregnancy after premature birth question

Hi all, my first baby was born at 31+2 in 2022 (he's 2 actual next month). I don't know why he came early, I didn't have pre-eclampsia, no GD, no placenta abruption etc etc but my midwives/nurses commented that because I've had a previous Lletz procedure it could have resulted in a shorter (incompetant) cervix abd that my second pregnancy would be consultancy lead and I may be offered cervical scans, stitches etc etc.

I've just found our that I'm pregnant with my second, af is due Monday so if I'm still having positive test results then I plan on self referring to the midwives through my local GP. My question is, should I ring up and explain that my son was premature instead of using the online form in case they do want to see me sooner? Would I need an earlier scan of my cervix length or hormones etc?

What was the process like for those that have been there?

Hi, I had a birth review following the birth of mine (26 weeks and did not make it). I've been told that I'll be seen by the consultant after my booking appointment and dating scan. If possible I'd advise speaking to the midwife team in person team to flag up your pregnancy history.

Congratulations.
No need for urgent referral now, just follow the usual process for getting booked and the midwife will sort a consultant referral
