Clear blue and LH strips

Hi all! I used a digital clear blue ovulation test which gave me a static smiley 4days ago. I tested on a LH strip and it gave me 0.77. Yesterday I tested on a strip to make sure it was going down but I think I caught my peak at 1.22. Today I did the same and it was 0.72. I’m confused as to why clear blue gave me the static smiley face when 4days later should have been my ovulation date? Hoping this makes sense but hoping someone else has experienced similar! Just confused as to when I’m ovulating. This is also my first time tracking it all after a mmc. Thank you.

I found LH strips to be much more accurate than the CB. I feel the CB is abit of a gimmick tbf.

@BeautyAndTheBump1 and expensive! Because my LH decreased slightly today would that mean my ovulation day would be today or tomorrow? I was originally going by clear blue but I’m glad I did the strips now to make sure!

Clearblue tests are good because it's the start of the LH surge that's important for timing, not the peak. Some women ovulate before the peak.

If you aren't already, suggest inputting the results of the other strips into an app so that you can see a graph pattern that's personal to you across cycles. Easy@home strips with the Premom app work well. Some women plateau at a high level of LH for several days. Some have more than one peak. No way to say for sure when you will ovulate relative to the surge (short of ultrasounds) but also tracking BBT can help to narrow it down.

@Rainbowflower2024 they say you normally ovulate 24-48 hours after your peak LH strip, so either today or tomorrow! So keep baby dancing 🤣

@sirensong thank you! My LH was high on the strips for two days and today it’s going down slightly. Thought it would only be high for one day but good to know some women’s LH is high for several days as well!
