Hi, sorry this is going to be a long read! I went into hospital Thursday 11th of July at 35+1 with a severe pain on the upper left side of my bump. The CGT was showing my contractions was every 4 minutes. I went home with pain relief and found myself having to go back in on the Saturday (35+3) with the pain in the same area getting increasingly worse. For the next two days they did blood test, urine tests and put me on the CGT monitor many times to which my contractions/tightenings was becoming very strong and every few minutes (I will attach photo of CGT recordings). At one point baby boys heart rate was exceeding 180 and my tightenings was ranging from 70-100. They did 3 speculums during my short stay to which my cervix had no change! Sunday afternoon I lost my mucus plug, a big glob of blood mucus followed by a few pieces of thick mucus with pink strands. I left hospital last night to come home and see “how I go” but the pain is still very much unmanageable. My DS can’t hug me as the pain is too tender! The pain on the left side is horrendous when I cough, sneeze, shout or laugh. I can also still feel a lot of tightenings around my lower back and abdomen. Those of which aren’t giving me as much grief as the contractions with my first. They have given me omeprazole as they thought it may be a gut issue, but I eat healthily, stools have all been really good and no constipation etc.
I would just like to know if this has happened to anyone else and whether you’d advise I go back in and ask for a scan of some sort? The pain is very unmanageable on just the paracetamol, I cant even sit in the car for any sort of journey as bumps send shooting pains and walking is extremely difficult when the pain starts back up!
